We got a room upgrade with the full view on Ain Dubai. Gym was very good with 24hrs access. Pool was also fine bud the low part was u only get 3hrs of sun a day… and they dont have private beach (sunbeds and shades). If u want some u have to pay (119-125 AED/person). Overal great hotel with even better location.

Staff were excellent and a good hotel in general for very good price. Restaurant buffet didn't change much over the week and the wifi did not work on 16th floor despite efforts from the hotel. but we will stay again

The hotel is in a good location, especially if you like Dubai Marina. However, it’s very outdated — the rooms no longer feel like they belong in a 5-star hotel. Staff are friendly and do their job well (which is common in Dubai), but don’t expect a true 5-star experience. The rooms, bathrooms, and furnishings are extremely old-fashioned and clearly need renovation. Most of the guests are low-budget family tourists, and the overall guest profile is quite low. For example, I was charged a 500 AED deposit at check-in, but the minibar in the room was completely empty. I asked why and requested it to be filled especially since I had paid a deposit but the hotel refused. Despite mentioning that I was an Expedia VIP guest, they didn’t offer any room upgrade. In fact, it felt like they gave me one of the worst rooms on purpose. I believe they assign worse rooms specifically to Expedia guests.

My stay at the JA Ocean View Hotel was truly satisfying. Check-in was seamless, even though we arrived late in the evening. The room was well air-conditioned, and I appreciated the refrigerator—it was cold enough to store leftovers properly, unlike the cooler boxes you find in many other hotels. Whenever we had questions, the friendly hotel service attendant, Hashim was quick to help and always courteous. He’s truly an asset to the hotel. The concierge was also helpful and answered all our inquiries with ease. The beach near the hotel was extremely hot during this time of year, but the resort provided umbrellas and towels, which made it more comfortable. The pool is a good size; however, the chair and lounger situation could be better managed. Many guests were reserving seats for hours without using them, and unfortunately, no one seemed to enforce any policy around that. I traveled with my bestie, and despite a few minor concerns, we genuinely enjoyed our stay. I’d definitely consider returning.
