Staff were very friendly and service-minded. Place was clean and well kept. I appreciated the American style air conditioning - super high power when you needed it on the hot Adriatic summers. They don’t play around when it comes to air conditioning. All rooms and common areas sufficiently air conditioned! One thing to keep in mind though, this is billed as family friendly hotel so be prepared for lots of families with young kids. The pool and restaurant will be noisy with crying kids. This Valamar chain has 2-3 other hotels within walking distance that cater to different clientele with the same amenities so read carefully the descriptions to select the hotel which suits your taste. If you want a quiet atmosphere, look for one that caters to “adult” On

Great family hotel. Kids facilities are exceptional. Also good to be able to escape to the quieter pool at the hotel next door or the indoor pool on a rainy day. Bus stops outside the hotel to take you to the old town in 10-15mins.

Wonderful breakfast buffet with lots of selection. Only issue i had with the hotel was they didnt have an ice machine and water refill station when I asked the front desk at 12am. There is also no physical lock you can put on your door from the inside nor a peep hole.

We loved our time at Valamar Tirena! The access to downtown was a simple bus ride (no need to change buses) and after long day of walking, nothing beats the comfort of eatery options with amazing views, indoor or outdoor pool, and a spa for some relaxing R&R! The service is outstanding as everyone is so welcoming and friendly!

Perfect hotel for our stay in Dubrovnik. Only 10-15 minutes drive from the centre of Old Town and away from the hustle and bustle (which is what we were looking for). Staff were fantastic - incredibly friendly and helpful. We were able to check in slightly early, and check out slightly late. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Lovely Hotel 4 star and above. Aboe to use the swimming pool at Lacroma, lovely food for breakfast and dinner. Staff very approachable and helpful. MARO world is definitely one more star for the families with kids. . Thank you Valamar, thank you Dubrovnik Definitely we will be back
