Coastal hotel gem

Lovely and luxurious hotel surrounded by the sounds of the sea. Helpful staff at every turn. Hotel buffet had many delicious options. While far from the city center, the bus route was easily navigable - stay here to get away from the city and enjoy the beauty of the coast!

The Valamar Argosy is the most chilled out hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was very comfortable with a beautiful view and the facilities were excellent. Thank you so much!!

Booked because it was an adults only hotel. However there were small numbers of children there. Not against children but I wanted the peace and quiet which didn’t happen round the pool on some days. Other than that it was very nice. Externally the building is a bit tired the food was excellent throughout.

Hotel is located in a very beautiful and safe area. Friendly stuff. Very nice room with sea view. Gorgeous views from the pool area! Great food at the restaurant and huge breakfast buffet. Bus stop is right by the hotel and takes about 20min to get to the city.

From check-in to check-out, everything was perfect. The room was stunning—beautifully clean, with a super comfortable bed. The down pillows made it feel like we were sleeping on clouds. We had a lovely balcony looking at the sea. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptional (the Half Board option is definitely worth it). The dining area had the ambiance of a high-end restaurant, and the variety of food was impressive, catering to all tastes. The entire property exudes luxury. It’s spotless wherever you go, and the outdoor views are breathtaking, especially at sunset. The outdoor pools are fantastic, and there’s also a spacious indoor pool. Just a short walk through a lovely park, you'll find restaurants, bars, and shops. Plus, there’s a bus stop right outside with convenient access to the old town. The locals are wonderful—there’s a laid-back atmosphere, and they don’t pressure you in the restaurants. The 3-island tour is an absolute must-do. I fell in love with Dubrovnik and its people. We've stayed in many places over the years, but this is now our number one!
