Night two of my stay was after a 16 hour shift, when I got the door of the hotel my keycard wasn’t working. I pressed the assistance button many times and nothing happened. I had to search for a number online but it was really unclear what was exclusively for the hotel so when I initially called and the automated message started talking about the restaurant and I hung up. I eventually called that number again and managed to get through to the overnight staff but I was standing around for over half an hour after midnight. Next morning I had housekeeping chap once and immediately let herself into my room which was alarming since I was about to get changed. She apologised but i’m also upset that locking the door doesn’t stop everyone from walking into the room. It was a clean room and reception staff were really lovely. Shame that I had those two incidents which spoiled my stay.
