Welcome to the Stargazer Chalet! Our freshly renovated home is a super private, secluded 4 bedroom with a loft and a kids cave that sleeps 2-4, 3 bath 2200 sf house that backs to thousands of acres of national forest. It offers an over-sized 2 car garage with carport, 6 person private hot tub and expansive deck. The deck is perfect for stargazing as the Milky Way is always visible since there are no light sources nearby. The chalet is located 5 miles South from Purgatory resort. 4 wheel drive is mandatory in winter months of November - March as the house is up the hill from the highway, but driveway is paved and plowed continously on snowy days. Very fast Starlink internet 400+ mps. Owner managed and located 5 minutes away for any needs.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at this property. The home was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Awesome property and experience!

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Stargazer Chalet. A beautiful property that was clean and well-furnished, it offered plenty of space and amenities that left us wanting for nothing. Check in process was very simple and communication with the owner was friendly and easy. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to visit the Durango/Purgatory area.

Amazing property

I’m very thankful for this property. Our family had an amazing time. The home had everything we were looking for in a vacation home. It’s conveniently located between Durango and Silverton which made visiting the different sights very easy. The home owners are very accommodating and kind. Don’t pass this one up.
