Room broken into and items packed by staff
Would not risk it again. We had a 2 night stay booked over a nice and sunny weekend. As most reviews say, the rooms are sauna, but we had 2 fans and with window opened it was fine.
The furniture is outdated but acceptable, could have been run down but it was not.
The HUGE negative and the one that will put most people off:
Checked in Friday evening, slept the night. Left to explore on Saturday morning and locked the room behind us. On return our key cards didn't work, got them reactivated, thinking nothing of it. Once in - our toothbrushes, toiletries, personal items (clothes, perfumes, underwears) and some very private(!!) items we left behind near bedside, were all gone!
Room was not cleaned, but items went missing. We then saw our suitcase in corner of the room (we had left it in the wardrobe), so I opened it and found all our items packed inside it. Turns out they had a "glitch" in their system and they thought we were only staying 1 night. So, when we weren't in on Sat morning, housekeeping took all our stuff, put it in our own suitcase, and took it as 'lost property'. Reception said no manager was on duty then, so wait till next morning. We slept terrified, spoke to manger in the morning who said it happens, there was a witness to staff who packed your stuff, so what is the fuss about?
The fuss is someone entered, touched and put away your items in your absence, opened your bag and packed it! That is invasion of privacy whilst being paid for that room by us!!!!
