The hotel was really quirky. Excellently located facing the railway station, bus stops and metro stops making it super easy to access many other locations around the surrounding areas. Felt totally safe travelling as lone females.

We had a 3 night stay. The staff were helpful and polite at every point in fairness. The hotel needs some love. Lobby carpets desperately need cleaning. Our first room had a massive burn where an iron or something hot had been left. There was an issue with the AC/heating unit which wouldn't turn off and resulted having to move rooms in the early hours. The next room was noisy sounded like a lorry was parked outside with its engine running. This would have been difficult as we were on the 7th floor! We reported this in the morning. It seemed to get sorted but only between 9pm and 6am when it would start again. Cleaners would be active from 7am which was a disturbance as they were moving trolleys around and banging doors. The lift entrance on the 7th floor had damaged plaster work leaving a 2 inch gap between the metal work and the rest of the wall. The door frames in the toilet in the rooms had suffered with water from the showers and were showing the effect. Pillows in the bedrooms where made of granite. The staff where a 10 out of 10. The location was an 8 out of 10. The building 2 out of 10. It needs some love and IHG needs to back it's people and get the place up to standard.

Check in was easy and seamless. Even though check in was not until 3pm, they were able to get my in my room at 10am! Took less that 3 minutes to check out. Room was clean and well attended. Very pleased with my stay and it was close to all public transit, so very well connected. Will recommend to anyone I know that may travel to the city.

This place was disgusting. I booked for rooms for 4 of us and 2 out of my group left and booked a different hotel. The cleaning standards here are non-existent, dirty sheets, filthy floors, and nonworking shower.

This had potential for rwally noce stay. Unfortunately the room location was awful. Ground floor of what could have been a storage closet at one point in a freezing cold and damp room. Not great experience or value.

Everything was perfect and the hotel was lovely, very conveniently located opposite Haymarket station. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is that neither of my power sockets worked. Shame, but I managed with a 3rd socket behind the TV on the gar side of the room.

Greay loction to hop in tram bus or tain, we had a room at front & wasnt to noisy at all. Cosy room is quite cosy, but we were only in there for short time so didnt matter too much, bit of wear & tear in room but clean.

The room was decent for the price however the fire alarm was triggered at 2am, the alarm went off for 40 minutes and not once were we talked to by a member of staff during this, we were outside in the rain for half an hour and we only came back in because the fire men left, not because a staff member gave us the all clear. I dread to think how it would have been if it was an actual fire, as there was no effort to get people out of their rooms or out of the building, no guidance for where we should wait, no assistance when coming back in. No compensation offered. Terrible.

The location is great, central and direct to either the city and the airport very easily. Rooms are tiny considering the price per night, unable to open a mini carry on suitcase on the floor. You have to go over the bed/shuffle around it to move around the room Housekeeping was questionable, our bathroom wasn’t cleaned/re stocked. Ran out of sanitary bags, our towels were taken away but not replaced and still hairs/visible dirt in the bathroom The most significant concern is regarding the fire safety procedure at this property. Around 11pm last night the reception knocked on our door to check on us - as they had been alerted our fire alarm was activated. We were asked if we had ran the shower or sprayed anything near it - we hadn’t. At this point it was apparent that there was a fault with it. Fast forward to 1:56 am. The fire alarms sounded through the whole property, we went into the hallway and spoke to the same reception member who advised us evacuating was “to our discretion” and that “we’re unsure if there is actually a fire or not”. She then asked if anyone in the hallway was staying in a certain room number (ours) we identified ourselves - indicating they were aware of a fault with our fire alarm. More happened, fire brigade arrived etc - but limited character availability - I am lodging a formal complaint with IHG as the fire safety procedure is unacceptable to say evacuating is discretionary when you’re unsure if there is an active fire. Wouldn’t stay again
