This hotel is currently working on upgrades so lobby was stuffed full of boxes of furniture which wasn’t a huge deal but should be noted. I did walk down the hallway to my room and it was very wet. It looked like a room had flooded and made the hall wet. Maybe in the renos they could install quiet closing doors instead of the horrible slamming doors they currently have. Every time someone in the hall went in or out of their room, their door would slam very, very, very loudly echoing through the whole hall. Restaurant and breakfast was good. Friendly staff.

You get what you pay for

The staff was very friendly and made our check in comfortable. Our rooms were clean (but don’t look too closely) & quiet. Only heard kids upstairs while in bathroom one morning. The chargers are loose so Zi would suggest bringing your own ports.Also there were 3 of us staying in the room so we had the 2 queen beds. We were taking our 14 year old son to his first hockey game in Edmonton but only were given 2 breakfast vouchers for the 4 nights/ 3 days we were there. It is a good thing I’m not much of a breakfast person as this was a feature we looked for when booking. The last night, the fire alarm went off and every one went to the lobby. Thank goodness it was false as there was a snowstorm outside! It was hot in the elevator and also in our room but we had AC going as I would have melted. This is an older hotel and we liked the location as it fit the needs for our mini vacation in Edmonton so all I will say is you get what you pay for & we were happy with the price point.

House keeping

The service was amazing however i had house keeping walk in twice ( once i forgot to latch the door and second time they tried to come in hence the door latched ). Checkout was at 11 and they walked in at 10:30 and again 10:39. Very frustrating as this is a privacy breach and they didn’t knock or apologize. Walked in and seen us and walked out. Very unprofessional

Great room, great breakfast

We had a great 4 th floor room with an east view and (snow covered) balcony. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave. The hotel is being renovated so boxes are everywhere but did not affect our stay. We had our fill of a HOT buffet (five stars). I would recommend and go back again.

Good location. It was fine for a couple nights. The renovations don't give off the best first impression but it's temporary. AC in the room was t working so room was 28C when I walked in. Even on cool it was pumping out heat. Turned it off and it eventually cooled down. In my opinion, every room being booked should be checked an hour before check in time to ensure issues like this are caught.

They are remodeling and looks look so far. Staff is great . Checked in with Martin and he was friendly , polite , and took care of business very professionally.

Extra made up charges

Stay was decent. 2 days after our stay, found an extra charge of $28 on our credit card. Called and was told it was for a pet fee. We never brought a pet. Unsure why they charged us for this or if they will even refund it. This will be a deciding factor if we ever stay here again

Rooms very small for a king room. Could not entertain anyone as there was only an office chair to sit in …… would not stay here again very disappointed for a best western hotel
