It showed a price of $743.79 when I booked, but I was actually charged $823.81 at check-in. They blamed it on the exchange rate, but this didn't happen with any of my other bookings in Argentina.

Unhelpful staff for the high cost

The hotel staff was extremely unhelpful and sometimes rude. The two women working the front desk seemed annoyed whenever we asked them simple questions. They also charged us more than what we booked for. They said it was the law and that we’d get a refund on our credit card but it hasn’t worked like that at any other hotel in Argentina. The hotel is clean / located in a good spot. After walking around El Chalten and seeing other hotels / hostels, I wish I had gone with a more affordable option because everything in town was pretty comparable in quality.

This was a great property just off the main street - very walkable to the main hiking trails. The Premium room was brand new with modern furnishings and was very comfortable. Breakfast was great and the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

From the moment we walked into El Puma we loved it It had been refurbished since we had booked it to a very stylish contemporary look great use of colour and art works The location is perfect off the main road and close to everything The staff exceptional and so helpful Highly reccomend

Lovely spacious comfortable rooms, nice breakfast, friendly helpful front desk. The property itself could be improved to look a little nicer outside, but that didn't detract from our stay at all. Highly recommend this hotel.
