Very clean and quiet environment. Nice restaurant but steep prices. Great service in the restaurant. Only complaint (originally) was that the water in the shower wasn’t what I’d call hot. I often have migraines that I need steam for and there was no steam. The parking lot is behind the building which is not a pleasant spot with below zero temperatures and lots of snow and ice that’s not been cleared. I also noticed on my bank account that an additional charge had been applied. Once inquiring about it, they stated it was a historical charge which was not disclosed at any time ($10 per day).

We stayed at Tygart Hotel for a ski trip and absolutely loved it. The hotel was clean, comfy, and so cozy—such a warm, welcoming place to land after a long day on the slopes. It’s a charming small-town hotel with beautiful mountain views, and we loved the beautiful local art displayed throughout the hotel. The full breakfast buffet every morning was a major highlight. Tip for skiers: if you’re getting lift tickets for Timberline Resort, you can purchase them directly at the resort for a discount—we didn’t know and bought ours online in advance. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great boutique hotel! I have stayed here a few times and I will continue to come back. The staff is amazing! Rooms are beautiful! Food is BEST in town!! Honestly the finest place to stay in Elkins!! They get a nice bar crowd and the people I have meet are always nice and friendly!! Feels like home away from home!

There weren’t many guests at the hotel the night I stayed there, but they had a breakfast buffet fit for a king! Very nice historic hotel, and the price was right. Highly recommend.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Very modern accommodations in the heart of Appalachia. Very pleasant and responsive staff. Dinner in the adjoining restaurant, Oxley House, was delicious and reasonably priced for the quality of the meal. Don’t hesitate to book a stay here and enjoy the city of Elkins and the surrounding area!

From the moment we walked in we were impressed by the beautiful lobby and friendly staff! The room was well appointed and very clean.
