"A River Runs Through It" - a spectacular 6 bedroom property that sleeps up to 12 guests located in the foothills of the Chattahoochee National Forest. Get ready for the most unique setting watching the water run directly under the house!
The home is situated in a private setting and is built over a scenic mountain stream (Think of Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater House on a smaller scale). Constructed in 1960, this property holds a lot of historic value, from the 100 year old water wheel which greets you as you pull up the driveway to the walls and ceilings built with wood from old buildings being torn down in the mid 1900's (black walnut, cherry, ash, and cedar).
A list of the amenities and bedroom configurations are as follows:
* 1st Family room features leather couches, a fireplace, and 20" flat screen TV (off kitchen area). The ceilings are made of red cedar and the walls are a mix of cherry, black walnut, ash and cedar.
* 2nd Family room is located over the creek and features a gas fireplace, leather couches, sliding glass doors leading onto a viewing deck and a rear deck, pool table, and a 62" Smart TV
* Spacious, gourmet kitchen with slab granite counters, hardwood floors and stainless steel appliances
* Kitchen breakfast bar area seats up to 4 and designer round teak dining table seats up to 8 guests
* Screened porch with patio furnishings

Best creek ever!!!
The location of the house and the creek was perfect. But !!! The house was hot during the day and when I set the thermostat to 69 they ( all of them) would go back up to 71. I like it cool so we weren’t happy with that. The stay was made great by having the creek on site. Also on the drive to the house I received an email/ contact I had to fill out. Didn’t care for that either. Ivy not had to do that before with VRBO . Thank you

Such a unique place, the photos do not do it justice!
We stayed for a long weekend. The place is unlike any place I've ever stayed. It is very unique and we would highly recommend.

Loved it !!!
Everything about this place screams relax and enjoy yourself. We would have never left the site to see anything except we had already had plans. We all felt we could have stayed there the whole time and been in a piece of paradise.
The place is so homey and with 12 people you never felt like you were crowded at all. This place brings people together. The tv never was turned on at all the pool table and the river kept us all together as a family/friends and everyone enjoyed absolutely everything….we are ready to book again. Thank you!!!

Amazing Memories at the Creek House
We had a family vacation with 6 adults and 6 kids ranging from 2-9 yrs old. We had such a great time, the kids played in the creek, caught crawdads and some small trout and slide down the rock in front of the bridge, the hot tub was really nice and the whole property is just so unique and fun to look at, little stone paths through the moss and lots of different woods and materials throughout the house. We also enjoyed playing a couple games of pool each day in the living room
We also had 2 exploring trips.
We went to Amicalola Falls and hiked up and then went to the lodge which has an amazing view and a cool spot to sit and rest before hiking back down
We also did a kayaking / tubing trip down the Cartecay which was a lot of fun but the rapids were probably a little much for our younger kiddos, It was perfect for our kids who were about 5 and up though and we had a really great adventure - Blackberry Falls at the end was a lot fun to go down in the tubes and you can climb up the rocks and go down as many times as you want

Best Stay in Ellijay!!!!
This little retreat in Ellijay, Georgia was the best we have stayed in. The layout of the house, the comfort of the beds, the location to the trout streams, and the fun that you can have on the creek. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and our time together. Thank you to our wonderful host and we hope to be back next year.

Peace Away From Home
My family and I stayed here for New Years and had an amazing time. The house is perfect and has lots of privacy for different families staying together. The property is beautiful and we spent most of our time outside enjoying the fresh mountain air. We can’t wait to come back!
