Casa Cartagine - Erice

The house is situated in the ancient village of Erice, and consists of two floors. On the ground floor kitchen and lounge area on the first floor bathroom and 2 bedrooms (for a total of 4 beds). Outside, a courtyard.
The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, fridge and everything you need to cook (dishes, pots, etc.).
In the winter months you can use the wood-burning fireplace.
The master bedroom has a panoramic view from which you can admire Trapani, Marsala and the islands Favignana, Levanzo and Marettimo.
The second room has a single bed and a half (larger than a single bed) and a folding bed.

The house is situated within walking distance from the center, a 2-minute walk from Porta Trapani and the cableway, in a position that allows you to get in your car and park in the immediate vicinity (when possible even for free).

Amazing Erice

Quaint and picturesque property with an amazing view, quiet courtyard and within easy walking distance to the main part of town. Well stocked and quite comfortable. Host was informative and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location but had some issues

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars upon first arrival. The house is a very nice old style mountain top villa with beautiful views from across the streeet of the valley and ocean. It’s 2 bedrooms and we were using both for 2 of us. Vito the host is very nice and checked us in and explains the house. First issue was the stove runs on bottled propane. There was only enough gas in it for one cup of coffee. It was a good thing we weren’t cooking in the house the one night of our stay or it could have been an issue. The house has no central heat due to the age. It was 10c at night and only one space heater working for the house. That meant one room (mine) was very cold as there was a storm that night. The kitchen has a beautiful fireplace but only enough wood for the evening so we had no way to warm the area in the morning. We literally woke up and left. We would have loved to drink some coffee and sit by the fire in the morning but there was no wood or propane. Electrical sockets have no cover plates on the and have wires exposed which could be a hazard for small children. With a little more attention to detail this could be a 4.5 star property. Erice is beautiful. Trapani is also very nice. I own 2 VRBO properties so I know what it takes to be a 5 star property. I understand we were off season but that’s no excuse for the issues we had.

Lovely

Very well equipped, traditional style home with a nice courtyard. The only thing was the pillows were very lumpy! Otherwise a great stay & beautiful location.
