The 750 sq ft spacious apartment is attached to the owner’s home-a Mediterranean Architecture Villa. The suite is completely private, free WiFi and cable. Private entrance, parking. Outdoor grill. One BR 1 BA with queen bed and fold out ottoman sleeper. Walk in closet. Huge bathroom and entertainment area with spacious couch, 2 recliners and large flat screen TV. Google Home mini, computer and printer. Fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, toaster, Keurig coffee and drip coffee makers. Beautiful custom cabinets and slate floor.
If you don't feel like cooking, Escondido is home to many fine restaurants, outstanding breweries, and wineries within a few miles.

Although I would rate the overall stay as 5 star, I can always come up with a few ideas for improvement.1. The wattage of the bedside lights are much too low for comfortable reading.2. As one enters the bathroom area, one of the lights above the sink didn't work, and i forgot to leave a message for the maid.3. Although I was advised that the pool was heated to 85 degrees, it wasn't heated. I went for a few laps one afternoon and it took me about 2 hours to warm up.The immediate grounds; flowers, shrubs and landscaping was immaculately maintained. The large bathroom area included a large shower, a claw tub, and separate sink areas. This was one of the largest bathroom closet areas that we have ever enjoyed with any rental. With all of my hunting and searching for rentals in the area, I thought this VRBO was a good value. We felt very safe and secure during our stay.Dr. BTucson, AZ

The grounds are amazingly Beautiful. I used the spa after a long drive to get there. Very nice! The room has everything you need. The shower is very nice and big! The air condition worked great. The only thing I could ding would be the bed. But I have a bad back and need a supportive bed. Great place great owners.

The location was quiet and private while being located right in between San Diego to the south and wineries to the north. It was a bit too chilly in April for the pool, but we braved a dip anyway and then warmed up in the bathtub inside. The bed is particularly comfy and the full kitchenette and available grill made it easy to cook. Would definitely come back!

Nice location! We felt safe and the room was spacious and the Casper mattress was comfortable. We heard the Northern Mockingbirds mating calls at night, which was strange and wonderful we relaxed by the pool before going out for dinner at Brigantine seafood and oyster bar. The HH there was good. Location was a close drive to San Diego and Mission Bay. We would stay here again. Thanks !

The long drive way leading up to the villa and the beautifully landscaped grounds let you know you are in for a treat! This villa is very clean and has all you need. The bed is so comfy and poolside is beautiful and peaceful. The jacuzzi was amazing! Robert and Julia were the perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome! My husband wasn’t feeling 100% , a bad winter cold, and Julia even brought us fresh lemons from her yard and honey. Very kind! This villa is so cozy and feels like home! You’re going to love it!

Much larger and better appointed than expected. I loved having separate vanities. The location was perfect for our visit. As someone who grew up in the area, I remembered the big White House on the hill. It was a treat to stay in their guest wing. It would be nice to come in warmer weather to enjoy the pool area. Our four night stay was a wonderful experience, especially since the weather was sunny and warm so we could use the pool every afternoon! We used each morning to go out to breakfast at any number of wonderful local restaurants in the area, and then either go to the beach or go to Julian, etc. Escondido is a wonderful hub, with much to do in the area, including visits to wineries, casinos, or just go for a wonderful drive out into the country.The owners/hosts were very accommodating and we would love to come back someday!
