Wake up to the sound of waves and Tuis in the surrounding trees. Walk down drive to sit on beach and enjoy a coffee / tea while watching the sun come up. If weather is not turning on the typical Hawkes Bay Sun, then relax infront of a fire reading a book, or watching a movie on Netflix. If you are feeling more active then there is mountain bike and walking tracks close by, as well as river 5 minutes along the beach. Bring your fishing line to catch dinner or pop out to the nearby vineyards.

Easter in Eskdale

Property a bit disappointing, very basic and felt a little damp. However bed was comfortable. Utter devastation all around following the recent weather events. And it was raining.

Get away in the Bay

This is a cute wee back section cottage. It is well fitted out with a private back patio and rustic bathroom. It is close to Napier and to bush walks a little north. Michelle was great to communicate with. We enjoyed our stay.

Brief stay

My one criticism is that this is not beachfront. It is situated at the back of the property so there is absolutely no view. I was attracted by the main photo as i was looking to relax for a couple of days with a sea view. The rest of the property is fine, but there needs to be greater transparency about this.

sorry to say this but this accommodation did not meet our expectation. my wife was upset at dingyiness, slight smell of ants, and a hole in the sheet on bed. i lay on bed and realised i would not be comfortable at all , so we simply up and stayed at the albatross motel in napier

Could be easily improved by clearing junk opposite cabin doors & windows, and trimming bushes along driveway to facilitate reversing out of kinky driveway

Great little place to stay

The property is small but hidden in a nice private spot. Great facilities with everything we needed for our stay. Close to the beach (more of a fishing beach than a walking or swimming place), quiet at night. A little way out of Napier centre but that's just what we wanted.

Relaxing little getaway location

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay over New Years - super cozy and awesome shower! Was just pretty disappointed with cleanliness of the bed linen, as well as some of the cutlery etc. (although I know that’s more down to guests). Also sucked to have the bbq listed as an amenity but when we went to use it, it was completely rusted over and we were unable to.

Lovely Little Getaway

This little cottage is well-suited for a couple looking for a nice little getaway. It is very clean and tidy. We enjoyed it. We didn't do any cooking, but the cottage is well stocked with a range of cooking utensils.

TLC Would be tops!

Lovely space, however we arrived in the rain. The bathroom ceiling leaks, the bathroom door hinge needs lubrication, the main shower head needs to be connected & the shower stem came away from the wall. We were a little disappointed to find that the cottage was behind a house & not directly across the road from the beach as assumed by looking at the photo provided. But in general our stay was lovely, thank you.
