Good spot.

The hotel is in a great spot. Close to the beach and the medina. I’m sure it will be a great place in the summer. We went just before new year (winter) and was really quiet. The hotel overall is a bit tired.

My wife fell and got injured in the bath tub as it was way too deep to step in. There was no anti slip mat or anything to hold while stepping in or out. I slipped a bit too but luckily did not fell. Toilet was not functioning properly either. The debit machine did not work to get our payment. The receptionist ask me to pay it online booking. Next morning. They charge us for city taxes and breakfast as they told us internet price did not include both. Had we know it, we would have left this haunted place without breakfast. We do not recommend this place at all.

Great location right next to the Medina. But beyond that, I would NOT call this place 4 stars. The bed was very shaky for 2 people, the bathroom was quite dirty, the flooring was all tile, the building is quite dilapidated. I had to place tissue paper in the door to stop it from making noise due to the wind and the toilet ran all night. This place should be 3 star max.

Hotel has no air conditioning and very dated and rundown. Cannot be a 4 stars rating with today's standards. Tv has no channel and the room has no AC, we had to open the window to be able to sleep at night, which in return, invited mosquitos to have free dinner while we were asleep. Receptionist lady wasn't too friendly neither compared to other hotels we've been to.

At my arrival I did smell some fresh paint, when I told the front desk about it in friendly way, I was told there is no smell, and you’re not supposed to smell it in a sarcastic way. What a great start at the front desk. Then the guy behind the desk gave the room keys to the bellman I followed him, the room was not ready. I went for a walk for few minutes without even a word. The checkout was great, very professional and with a smile.

Blood stain and cigarette burns on the bedding. When asked reception if we could change room we were told none is available. We asked for bedding to be changed and were told it can happen at 18.00. We asked at 16.00. When we came back from dinner at 21.00 nothing was changed. The hotel is pretty run down. Hotel is not very clean.

The property is very old and not renovated. There are no stairs. I booked a suite. It was sooo dirty, the balcony like never opened. No internet, phone, no cooler, I had walk down 3 floors to go to front if I just need an extra towel. It was a horrible experience and no even said we are sorry.

Restaurant a éviter Les crevettes sautées à l’ail et au persil était en fait des crevettes en boîte. Pour Essaouira c’est une honte. Les beignets de calamars nous ont été servis froids nous avons demandé à ce qu’ils les refassent, ils les ont simplement réchauffés au micro-ondes.

Great location, breakfast and nice property

The room was nice. Clean. Great breakfast buffet and location as on the beach as right beside the medina. Only thing I did not like was the rooms were hot even if cool outside. If no air conditioning in the room it would be a good idea to have windows or doors with screens to allow cool air to circulate in the rooms and still allowing your guests to feels secure with sleeping with the windows or doors open or invest in air conditioning units in the rooms. It was difficult to sleep comfortably at night as the rooms were too hot and not in a millions years would I be crazy enough to sleep in a room in a hotel while leaving the doors wide open.

hôtel très vieux, à rénover absolument. Nous avons changé de chambre car les prises étaient sorties du mur. La deuxième chambre pas d'eau chaude, le flexible de douche laissé passer l'eau, on nous l'a changé, le robinet d'eau chaude du lavabo ne coulait pas (pas d'eau) le plombier est venu changer le système complet du lavabo. La fenêtre de chambre ne fermait pas car cassée, pas de lampe au dessus de la table de la chambre. Télévision limitée, car une seule chaine française sur les 7 disponibles. Certains personnels désagréables. Incident avec un barman, qui n'a rien compris à la commande. S'étant trompé il nous dit de garder les boissons servies par erreur et qu'il nous apporte celle qui fallait ; il nous demandait 10 dirhams de plus pour avoir cette boisson. Nous avons fait une réclamation écrite à l’hôtel et le responsable de l’hôtel a remis les choses en place avec le barman. Il y avait de la peinture argentée sur les meubles des chambre, on s'en mettait plein les mains, la baignoire était en mauvais état, des rustines grossières ont été faites dans cette baignoire. Très cher pour cet hôtel qui est dans un état miteux. Je regrette ce voyage. Je n'aurais pas payé d'avance, je serais partie dès le lendemain.
