beautyful riad with a very nice host

The Riad is very well situated in the medina of Essaouira. Although it is located in the center it is very quiet and calm. The interior is brandnew and exceptionally stylish. It combines traditional with modern elements of morrocan handicraft. The beautyful roof terrace includes two floors. The owner named Karim speaks fluend english and french.He is very helpful and gave us wonderful advice for restaurants and sightseeing.

Such a lovely oasis in the medina of Essaouira. The property is beautiful and decorated in relaxing greys which is quite a contrast to everything outside. The rooftop for relaxing and breakfast was lovely. The location is right in the Medina but a 3 minute walk away from the harbour front cafes so very quiet. The staff was exceptional and bent over backwards to help. Originally planned to stay one day in Essaouira but so liked the feel of the place that we extended our trip for a second and glad we did. Great restaurants in the area also.

Hidden gem in the medina of Essaouira!

Hidden gem in the medina close to many shops and restaurants. Excellent service and helpful staff. All common areas and the room were very clean and modern yet with a touch of traditionnal Moroccan design. Exactly like in the pictures. Our room was on the small side but we could see into unused room and there were larger rooms as well. Wifi was a bit slow, but that's been the case pretty much everywhere else in Morocco. We didnt't get to try their breakfast as we had an early flight and breakfast service didnt't star until 8 but they did prepare croissant, cake, orange juice and coffee for us to have before we left. They also arranged transportation to the airport for us. There is also a house cat so beware if you're allergic to cats. Would stay here again for our next stay in Essaouira!

Beautiful Riad in the central of Essaouira. Walking distance to the beach and the Supratour bus station. Our room had window and a little balcony to a nice market square outside, The bed was very comfortable, everything furnished in light, warm colours. It was cold at night so we had air conditing on heating the room, and we could not hear it at all! Super service, we got any help we needed. The lovely breakfast was served at the roof terrace. Inside the Riad were many sitting areas for the guests. The Riad has a wonderful spa, though we did not try it.

Beautiful Riad, Spectacular Service

This Riad was by far the nicest we stayed at during our three week trip in Morocco. The bathrooms were gorgeous, the decor throughout the Riad was spectacular, and the service went above and beyond. I was sick for one of the days there, and the staff helped my boyfriend in getting me medication and brought food to my room. Also, can’t beat the Riad cat Mimi with her little black kitten. I will definitely stay there in my next trip and highly recommend it.

Bad choice

The room it was very small, in the photos look much bigger than in reality, you barely could move. room badly maintained. staff and mostly owner very rude, unwelcoming and unprofessional behaviour. I was told in the morning that I wasn't entitled to breakfast, even thought it was in my booking confirmation and it was confirmed in my check in!! Cat living and moving around the hotel. Location feels unsafe at evening. I made my choice based on good reviews, it was a very bad decision and I truly regretted.

Beautiful design but they left out any room ventilation except from the bathroom window opening to hallway and door to room that opens onto the public hallway!!! No fan, no window that opens, no AC. We had to sleep with the door open which was creepy. We left one night early because of this. Otherwise, it is a beautiful place, just very impractical. Maybe we got the only room without any ventilation.Very nice staff.

Riad moderne absolument parfait, tant pour sa localisation, que les lieux qui comportent un vaste choix d’espaces de repos. La dame qui gĂšre le riad est d’une prĂ©venance, gentillesse extraordinaire. Tout est mis en oeuvre pour nous rendre heureux. Ne ratez pas le hammam au rez-de-chaussĂ©e pour une expĂ©rience fantastique. C’était notre premier hammam et mon conjoint et moi avons pu y aller ensemble. Si je retourne Ă  Essaouira, ce sera au riad Raoud Rayhane.

Respekt den Touristen gegenĂŒber fehlt

Wir wollten eigentlich verlĂ€ngern, aber der Service und das unseriöse GeschĂ€ftsgebaren der EigentĂŒmerin hat uns davon abgehalten. Kaum hatte Sie uns ein Zimmer offeriert, war 5 Minuten spĂ€ter dieses Zimmer (Suite) gerade von jemanden anderem gebucht worden (mit einem besseren Preis). Und beim Bezahlen wollte uns dieselbe Person weismachen, dass das Kreditkartenterminal nicht mehr funktioniere. Erst auf unsere Intervention, dass wir nicht Cash bezahlen wollen, rĂŒckte sie das GerĂ€t heraus. Man staune - es funktionierte problemlos. Ein zweiter Orangensaft beim FrĂŒhstĂŒck wurde verweigert mit der BegrĂŒndung, dass es keinen mehr hat. Und 10 Sekunden vorher war dies beim Nachbartisch kein Problem.... Im Zimmer kein Fön vorhanden und nicht sehr gerĂ€umig. Die QualitĂ€t der Kissen war sehr schlecht - steinharte, grosse Deckokissen. Und der Ersatz war nicht eben besser (ein bisschen kleiner) Man fĂŒhlte sich nicht als Gast, sondern als Cash Cow! Nicht zu empfehlen
