Central Hotel next to main Train Station

No frills hotel located 50m from the main train station in Duisburg. Has parking at 10 euros per night. Room fairly basic, but clean. Has a good sized TV with a good selection of channels. Room was clean and the shower was excellent.

Superbly located hotel

This hotel is superbly located right next to the main train station in Duisburg (25m walk next to McDonalds). The rooms are clean, functional and my shower was excellent. Despite its location, the hotel was really quiet, with excellent double glazed windows. Has a car park as well at 10 euros per night. City centre within 5 minutes walk of the hotel. Overall, a great hotel that I would happily stay at again.

No triple rooms?

We specifically booked this hotel as the triple rooms are sold as having 3 single beds. What we got was a standard double room with a single mattress just squeezed into the gap at between the bed and window. Very unhelpful when the issue was raised and they said they didn’t have any such rooms although they really couldn’t be bothered to speak to us. Don’t be fooled by the pictures.

Good location, facilities could be better

Hotel is adequate if all you want is a bed for the night. Room is incredibly basic, no tea making facilities. We also had a faulty bathroom light which flashed so much it was unusable and a medical concern for somebody that suffers with epilepsy. We did raise the issue with reception staff, but nothing was done about it. No aircon, tiny window that barely opens so rooms are incredibly hot too.

Unfriendly Hotel

The Property has exchanged hands and seems they have lost customer friendly people. Except a lady at desk sometimes, all seems to be rude, arrogant and confused. My probably 5th stay in this property and not sure if this is the last one.
