Filthy Ocean Front Rip Off

Slow, aloof, front desk. Inappropriately dressed. Not friendly. Property is on ocean with so much potential. But this place is filthy. Elevator smells like hot piss and floors and walls are dirty af. If a health inspector came into these rooms, they shut it down. Walls have dirt on them. Tattered Couch in room looks like something you’d see on a sidewalk in ghetto. Bathrooms had hair and filth on toilet. Shower had a clump of hair on wall. Bedding hadn’t been changed, hair all over sheets. My wife, two kids and I slept on top of blankets and used our sweatshirts for pillows bc the pillows smelled like mildew. We got it in a pinch late on a road trip up to Seattle. Costs $300 for the night. Total rip off! Don’t stay here. This place should be condemned. Sold to someone who can actually manage it. Beautiful location with a ton of potential but at present it’s a steamy pile. Don’t stay here!

Crescent City is a cool town. If you want a convenient affordable hotel, with a view this is in a great location, we only spent one night passing through, but it was great! Would stay here again.

The television was hard to use and the room needs some minor repairs. Towel rack and blow dryer loose on wall. The couch in the room not really fit for sitting. The room was clean. The shower was very clean. The bed was quite comfortable and the hotel staff were very pleasant.

Motel 6 vibe by the sea that is in need of a deep cleaning. Loud hallways with stone floor including the loud ice maker echos down the hall. Forgot to service room, had to reprogram key mid stay. Employees not friendly. Ocean view is great but noise of outside air condition fan drowned out any ocean sound. Not worth the price.

Amazing Stay

Such a beautiful place to stay in Crescent City California. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodated all of our needs. The kids loved swimming in the indoor heated pool and taking a walk on the beach. The sunset from the room was amazing. I was worried about the reviews I read on hotels.com but we had a really good experience. There was 5 of us, 2 adults and 3 children. The room was just right and we felt very comfortable. My son is special needs and we worried about safety with the balcony, but the door had a screw at the bottom that secures the slider. The only thing we couldn’t get to work was the jets in our tub but other than that, it was a great stay. Thank you Oceanfront Lodge. Hope to see you all soon!

The only nice thing about this place was the view, and the cafe. Our TV did not work AT ALL whether it was live tv or apps nothing at all recommend bringing an hdmi cable and adapter to use your phone. The staff placed a $100 holding fee when I got here that I was unaware was necessary, and considering they charged my card before I even got to the hotel AND it was non refundable I think the $100 holding fee is absolutely ridiculous. If I don’t get the fee back in the 5 days as I was told I would, they’re gonna have problems from me. The TV with 2 young kids was a major inconvenience, the beds are not the most comfortable, the soaps in the shower are large like containers so I can only assume people before us have used them which I think is much less sanitary than the mini soaps most hotels give, and honestly the neighborhood this place is in gives me bad vibes. Kinda sketchy wouldn’t want to walk outside alone. Like I said the only plus was the view and the cafe (which you have to pay for btw, no continental breakfast) our room was 275$ for one night and I give it a 4/10. That’s being polite…

waterfront view is good. but the bathrooms smelled horrific with urine smells in both of the rooms we rented. They could at least use bleach or spray. Also most outlets weren't working so it added more inconvenience. Outdated amenities are okay with me but uncleaned bathrooms are not acceptable for the rate we paid. Just very disappointed at Expedia as well. Expedia should screen out the poor selections below standard.

Hotel on the Beach ⛱️ 😎

All of the staff was very friendly! Room very clean, we tried the pool and steam room very clean and worked they need to fix the jacuzzi no bubbles. We had lunch at the bar, food was good and drinks great. We had a lot of fun playing the pool table. We will definitely be back and bringing our friends. Oh! And you can walk out the door and have your toes in the Ocean, and enjoy walking on the beach.

This hotel has many slamming doors and is very echoey. People smoking in balconies and getting in other people rooms was a bummer. Staff would not answer phone for any questions or concerns. Couldn’t find anyone to request a late checkout. Then when dropped off keys there was no one to talk to even after waiting at front desk multiple times. Staff is none existent here and property is noisy but if you can get past all that view is beautiful.

Meh….

Hotel was next to ocean however, the room itself was in need of thorough cleaning. The tub mat was lifted and you could tell it wasn’t removed in awhile. The bedside lamp was burned out. The walls were so thin you could hear your next door neighbours talking and walking around. The balcony door locking mechanism was done by way of an add on lock as the door would not shut properly.

Absolutely beautiful view from our deck. Room was comfortable and newly remodeled. Bath was good sized and only complaint was that the shampoo/conditioner bottles were so high only a pro-basketball player would find them easy to use. It was also a little confusing checking-in since the office is across the road and a long walk from our room. The breakfast was only so-so.
