This hotel was truly a pleasure to stay in from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, fresh, and thoughtfully arranged, making it easy to relax the moment you walked in. The staff was welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, and the overall atmosphere felt calm and well cared for. The amenities were excellent — comfortable bedding, reliable Wi-Fi, a great fitness center, and inviting common areas — all of which made the experience feel upscale and effortless. The room needed to be cleaned more thoroughly. Special attention needed to the fold out chair/bed and the desk chair, as they both needed crumbs vacuumed and upholstered fold-out chair/bed upholstery needs spot cleaned. In-shower built in soap holders need to be cleaned of grime and dried soap residue. In room coffee maker contained standing water and we did not use it. Breakfast was very good, waitress very friendly and efficient. Check in and check out staff were very good. The bed was very comfortable. Overall, we did enjoy our stay.

They just got new TV’s, which is great, but they have the DirectTv box on the wall behind the TV and you can’t change the channel without standing up and holding it over the top of the TV. Hopefully they get that fixed. Also our room (537) was right next to the elevator and it sounded like a bowling alley all day and all night. Breakfast, they were serving a buffet for $15. They wouldn’t let me buy a To-go order along with my meal to take to my fiance who didn’t feel like coming down to eat. He had to skip breakfast. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and the location of the hotel was good.

The DoubleTree was conveniently located near the Victory Theater where we were attending an event. The hotel had ample parking ($17/night) and clean and well appointed rooms. Staff were courteous and competant. Service was good, nothing above and beyond, but satisfactory

We were there for 3 nights. After the first night we were away during the day, when we returned the used towels had been removed from our bathroom but nothing else was done. We had to call down for fresh towels when we asked staff if it was necessary to request cleaning service they seemed unsure. The following day, we returned to the room late afternoon and nothing had been cleaned, we asked them to at least make up the bed, which they did (they also replaced the towels). Additionally, the floors throughout the hotel needed mopped and vacuumed badly. If they kept the hotel cleaner it would make a huge difference as this is probably the nicest property in Evansville. Granted, we were there during a busy weekend but they need to step it up in the cleaning department if they want guests to return.
