Room was very plain no decoration. Tv cut in and out on all channels and the remote did not work. Crack In drywall across the ceiling chips and cracks in paint throughout the room.

The rooms at the Westmark were in need of updating. But other than that it was great! Amazing downtown location. Staff was so friendly. And a great hot breakfast included. I’d recommend !

This hotel is a convenient stay and has great suites. Unfortunately, they do not accommodate under unforeseen circumstances. Got stranded in a small town 1hr 30 mins away so I would not be able to make it on time for check out. I explained to Ariel my situation and she refused to give me some wiggle room. Thanks to their room service who noticed nobody answered when they knocked and left our room last. That gave me just enough time to get there to grab our stuff. Other than that I would recommend choosing an establishment where they accommodate to their clients and avoid this place if you are new to the area.

The hotel changed my pre-paid room from a two queen suite to a king suite with a hide-a-bed couch. I needed both beds, and was told that the couch was a bed. When asked for a two queen room, I was told since I booked through a third party they could not change my room. But that is exactly what they did without my knowledge or approval. The room we were given was not very clean and was outdated. Overall it was a bad experience.

The hotel location was great, perfect spot for walking / driving anywhere in fairbanks or in general since its a few blocks away from the highway. Hotel itself was clean and the staff was helpful, sometimes seemed like they were over the tourists but that's understandable I would be too at the end of winter season. After 10PM though the back doors closed and locked without key access and the front parking lot filled quickly, meaning you had to park in the back lot and walk around the block to enter the hotel. Kind of not what you want to do in an unfamiliar place at night time. All in all great place to stay in fairbanks.

The Northern Lights

Good hotel that is showing signs of aging. My carpet had beads and small items that indicated that it had not been vacuumed. Comfortable bed. Responsive staff (for towels) since there was no automatic daily room service. There was no bread at breakfast for toast - only mini muffins which were not very good (not fully cooked). Its a pork lovers paradise. Vegan options are limited.
