Pleasant stay at The Radisson Fairview Heights

The check in was smooth and the MOD super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is permanently closed....wish I knew that in advance. The ice machine on the 4th floor was broken, but was getting fixed as I checked out. The room was great the king bed was comfortable and the area with the couch was also great. The breakfast was surprisingly hot especially the eggs and sausage links. Try the pastries...as fresh as could be. The OJ was tasty juxtaposed with the apple juice In the decanter was not so good. Overall a very pleasant 2 night stay early in the week.

Clean, friendly and easy parking. Only complaint I have is, I can hear their voices of a couple stayed next to me at 11pm. I called front desk, they stopped for a while but came back again in the middle night. Next day the same.

Nice staff, terrible bed

Nice staff. Nicely decorated, clean rooms. The bed was terrible. Places must’ve been missing springs because it felt like you were sleeping in a hole. The breakfast wasn’t that great. Cold eggs. Burnt bacon. No bananas or oranges or oatmeal. We’d probably stay here again despite all that as it was reasonably priced and clean.

I reserved a room with Expedia the day before for 1 night. After several hours of driving, the check in process was simple. I arrived around 7pm, checked in, and got settled in the room. I called the front desk a little while later and asked if we could have a late check-out at 12pm and the same man told me yes. Fast forward to 11am the next day..desk clerk calls my room with an attitude, asking if we are leaving the room. I told her we had asked for a late check-out for 12pm and was told yes. She says it wasn't given (?) or noted. I told her that the clerk who checked us in approved this and she says "regardless it wasn't approved" and hung up on me. We got ready and went down to check out. I stood at the front desk for a while and no one came out to greet me nor helped to check out. I left key cards and walked out. 2 housekeepers were in the lobby and didn't offer any help either.

The hotel was good. Good location. I stayed in the king suite and it was very big and spacious. Food is around and breakfast was satisfactory. I just wish the bathing hot water was hotter. It was warm and I prefer hot.

There’s potential for this hotel, but we walked into our room and it smelled like straight sewage, the bed sheets and pillows were dirty and had stains on them, the AC unit had mold inside. The staff came in to check it out and tried to gaslight and do anything except take accountability (and which was my main issue). We were able to get into a different room which was better but still had areas of cleaning that were very obviously missed.

Nice but pool needs help

Overall this a nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and the rooms were clean. My only complaint was the pool. I realized after we had swam a couple of times that the water was kind of murky and you could see a sheen of residue on the surface. It didn’t feel very clean so we stopped swimming in it which was unfortunate since that was one of the reasons we selected this hotel.
