Excellent walking and cycling can be enjoyed from the doorstep and fishing is nearby. Fakenham, 2 miles, offers good shops, restaurants, inns, a bowling alley, cinema, and golf course. Bustling Burnham Market with village shops, inns, and restaurants, is 7 miles away. Wells-next-the-Sea, 8 miles, offers an excellent sandy beach with colourful beach huts, a small shopping town centre with many inns and restaurants, and a picturesque fishing harbour - popular for fresh shellfish. Further along the coast is Brancaster for an uncrowded sandy beach and golf course. Brancaster Staithe provides a popular venue for sailing and boating enthusiasts. The traditional seaside towns of Heacham and Hunstanton offer an array of activities for all ages.
