The location is perfect—close to everything, yet calm enough to fully enjoy the atmosphere of Fes. The staff are exceptionally friendly and welcoming, making the stay feel warm and personal. Besides of the fact that this Riad was very beautiful and clean. The owner and the assistant made us feel like HOME. Their attentiveness, help, and kindness were really amazing. Riad Mazar Fes is an oasis of calm and incredible beauty. The owner Hamid and staff were so kind and welcoming, giving us a tour of the exquisite palace (that’s honestly what it feels like) upon arrival, serving us delicious mint tea and breakfasts, and making helpful recommendations. We also dined in the Riad our first night and it was the best meal we’d had in Morocco. The rooms were spotless, comfortable and quiet and every bit as beautifully, intricately decorated as the courtyards. We loved waking up in the mornings to the gentle sounds of water in the fountain in the courtyard below. I don’t know if the photos of this place could ever do justice to how beautiful it is. Thank you to everyone at Riad Mazar for your genuine kindness and hospitality. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We are reasonably well travelled people and we can say that we are officially in love with Morocco and with Fez. We have never been so impressed by a place to stay as we were with Riad Mazar Fez. The location is ideal as it is close to the Blue Gate and Medina, the building is stunningly beautiful and the tastefully decorated rooms have all the conveniences that one needs. But most of all, it’s the people running this place who make it so special. A big Thankyou to Mr Khalid, Ms Weeham, Mr Yasin, and all the staff for making our stay here truly memorable. The breakfast was so delicious and we felt right at home. We can’t wait to be back!!!

I had the most amazing time! The Riad was lovingly restored with great attention to every detail from the cedar and plaster to the zelige and artwork. The staff is warm and inviting and helpful. The common areas and rooms are meticulously clean. The breakfast was delicious and made fresh in the Riad kitchen. The tour guides they recommended were top notch. This may have been the finest Riad/hotel in which I’ve had the pleasure of staying. A big thank you to everyone working there. I appreciated all your efforts to ensure my stay was pleasant.

Such a beautiful place. Conveniently located at the edge of the Medina so you can arrive by car. The staff is very courteous and helpful, they arranged a guide for us on the first day, made last minute restaurant reservations and recomended a cooking class at a nearby Riad. They even prepared a bagged breakfast for us as we left very early. All in all a great stay!
