Well maintained property fronting on a nice small lake with small private sand beach. Ideal for families with kids. Pontoon boats on docks block view of the lake on first floor units, but not a deal breaker. The check in procedure needs a bit of work, but it all worked out, would definitely stay again. Fish dinner at restaurant right down the street is to die for!

The staff was friendly and helpful when we requested anything. The beachfront view was beautiful. Make sure to turn on the humidifier in your room and keep it on at all times. They had a small coffee maker, a microwave, and a small refrigerator.

Great, clean spot right on the lake. Had an ice fishing weekend here. Even got to sit out on the deck in the evening. Cozy hotel room with upstairs sleeping on newer matresses technology. Walking distance to good food. Probably really awesome in the height of summer. Attached party store is a nice feature.

It is right on the lake so that's a plus. It was quiet and clean with comfy beds. We stayed 3 weeks, we were contacted once about someone parking in the wrong spot. It was not us, couldn't they have checked whose car it was before contacting us about such a thing. I really thought they were contacting us to see how our stay was going. The whole thing, from booking, our 21 day stay and our checkout was so impersonal. No human interaction other than us asking housekeeping for a change of towels. The room needs a dresser, an end table by the chair and something in the bathroom to put your stuff on.

What a lovely spot! Not a bad view anywhere. We loved our upper level room, with a view of the lake, and our friends had one of the 2 story rooms with an upper deck and lower patio. I wish I had more time to spend there!

This property is very cute and the staff were super accommodating. The downsides though are that there is no access to the docks directly outside the rooms which I found quite sad, there is a small beach for water access which is convenient it’s just not very convenient if you rent kayaks and have to lug them all the way over. Another downside is not every room has a kitchen which my husband and I didn’t realize before booking, so we made due with the microwave and toaster. When we first arrived in the room we were met with a half used roll of toilet paper and maybe two towels, thankfully when I spoke to the lodge they provided plenty of extra toilet paper and towels for our 3 week stay. It’s definitely a cute lodge to spend some time at, our room was just a bit underwhelming when we first arrived but we ended up having a nice time in the area checking out different festivals and visiting traverse city.
