Hotel Mirage is not a particularly fancy place, but it worked well for us as a base near Florence airport at the beginning and end of our trip. PROS: - a short taxi ride from the airport (20euros) - well-stocked breakfast buffet - a couple of good restaurants nearby - room was clean and practical - staff was friendly and helpful - free parking CONS: - we had two different rooms for our two visits, one was rather plain and needed updating, the other was a bit more modern - not terribly quiet, with rail tracks and airport close by

We had a 6 night booking and did not even stay the first night due to lack of AC in the room. Maintenance was sent to our room but stated there was nothing he can do and only provided us a dirty fan as a backup. The rugs were filthy that it caused my wife's allergies to flare up. We left the same day that we checked in and now the hotel is denying everything and does not want to refund for the 6 nights. Horrible experience and would not recommend anyone to book there

Good clean rooms, 10 minutes to the airport. Elevators. Easy access from road with limited parking. Did not have laundry service as listed, did not have airport shuttle as listed, staff had bad advice about how early to get to airport. Room was very basic with no extras like coffee, tea, water, etc. Did not dare to try eating in hotel.
