We stayed two nights, and the AC didn’t work well. It was during mid July, so AC not working was the worst experience ever, we couldn’t sleep throughout the night. We requested the manager to change the room for the second night, but he wasn’t helpful at all. I’d highly recommend you folks to pay €10-20 extra and stay at a better place where the AC works. Other than that, it was close to all major landmarks and the train station. And the hotel was clean.

This hotel has friendly staff and close to the train station but other than that it’s not comfortable hotel. No AC, walls are so thin I heard everyone who talked and having sex. Definitely not a family hotel as I wouldn’t want my kids to hear such things. You cannot sleep as you can literally hear everything from every room around you. Our stay here wasn’t the best, but we got around smoothly because we had close access to train.

Great location

The location is very good. It is near to the train station and there is a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. Most of the tourist spots are walkable. The room size is sufficient. It is clean. Yet the facilities and the setting is outdated and should need some renovation. The breakfast is continental styles and it is good enough for me.

Wonderful staff

Everyone is kind and professional here. Excellent heating in my room. Good windows that muffle street noise. Rooms would benefit with updating/improvements to match photos. I had an issue with my room that was handled professionally and politely.

The hotel is conveniently located close to SMN train station and the attractions. We easily walked to the Duomo. Our room was dated but added to the character of the place. Breakfast for 5 euro has a satisfying selection.

A very nice hotel, in good condition considering it is more than 700 years old building and it is in a great location, close to the station and close to the town and some nice restaurants. the breakfast is great. Comfortable beds and clean.

I loved Hotel Vasari! It was about 5 minutes walk from the station, and 15 minutes walk along a pedestrianised road lined with restaurants to the cathedral. The neighbourhood was quiet - and the staff very friendly and welcoming. My room was small but comfortable (possibly the smallest in the hotel) and the air conditioning was on when I arrived. Other than what I’ve mentioned, the highlights were the decor and the atmosphere. It felt like a cross between a rustic rural hotel and a renaissance (I think) hotel. There was a different portrait on every door - and in the breakfast room, which was beautifully decorated, relaxing music was played. I can’t speak for the other rooms but mine was excellent value for money. I highly recommend Hotel Vasari.
