The only problem was the bathroom, the drain smelled badly. I understand that the owner is refurnishing it. That will be better. The apartment is very lovely otherwise

My boyfriend and I worked remotely from Florence for 2 weeks and the loft was the most perfect space for us. The internet was faster than we could have gotten in London and the location was amazing, it was really central allowing us to pop out and do some sight seeing before and after work. The kitchen and bathroom were very well equipped for a 2 weeks stay. The owner of the loft was also really helpful and responsive, making our stay there seamless. I would definitely stay there again!

Great Location!

The location was perfect! Minutes from all the action. We travelled from the United States and the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. We were able to cook, do laundry , clean up, etc.

Location, location, location.....

Right around the corner from the Duomo, this old historic building is central to everything! Note there are 66 long steps to climb to get to the landing, another 2 steps to enter the apartment, and then there are another 15 or so steps to reach the bedroom loft and bathroom. Good way to get fit! The unit itself is well laid out. The kitchen is cozy and functional. I cooked several meals with ease on the 4 burner stovetop (there is no oven) and the full size fridge is handy. The living/dining room is comfortable. The TV runs on internet and while they have Netfix, etc., the wifi signal was often weak or nonexistent since the server is shared with the office two doors down. The office tried to help us get a better connection but we ended up buying Simcards to work our devices off of a network rather than rely on their wifi. The bathroom needs some updating/deep cleaning, with the shower having some broken mosaic tiles or dirty grout visible. While the shower is very small (24' x 24'), a glass shower enclosure to replace the sagging shower rod and plastic shower curtain would improve the cleanliness of the shower. We were here for 8 weeks; we never met the hostess in person. Her father (very nice man) who works next door checked us in and was available to assist with various apt issues. Mariana was however very responsive to my various texts or questions. A nice welcome gesture of biscuits and wine were waiting to greet us, which we appreciate - but one will need to buy your own toiletries, toilet paper, etc. - good grocery store 2 blocks away. Trash bins are around the corner. Old wooden bedroom floor has charm but also very creaky especially when you are trying to be quiet at night! Again, the location cant be beat and this outweighed the negatives. That is why I gave this 4 stars.
