The hosts are amazing and really friendly. They gave us a lot of great recommendations and directions. The rooms are cute and comfortable. Only drawback is the walls are pretty thin. But hey, that’s Europe.

This guest house is very nice and close to cafes and restaurants. It's also a nice walk to the center of town where the tourist attractions are. This place however is not conducive to people with limited mobility as the rooms are on the third floor. There's no elevator for.guest, only for luggage.

Excellent service, clean and good location

Sergio and his wife Ada were absolutely amazing, they even took the time to give us a map and explained every popular attractions and also gave us some recommendations for good restaurants. Since there was a strike the day we left, they looked at the bus schedule for us and recommended which line to take. The property was very clean and convenient, quiet neighborhood but close to a bus stop and also 20 min walking distance to the Duomo and major atractions. I cannot recommend this property enough and I would stay here on my next trip to Florence!!

I loved my stay at Porta Alla Croce Guest House! Sergio and his wife were so incredibly kind and accommodating, even when my travel and check-in was delayed and it took me longer than expected to arrive on my first night. Sergio took the time to point out all of the major tourism points of interest to me on a map when I checked in, and even gave me some recommendations for food and other activities in the area (which I happily took, and they were great!). The guest house is in a walkable and convenient location; I was able to travel around Florence on foot and using the buses with no problem from the guest house. My room was perfect for my needs, and everything was clean and well taken care of.
