Room was simple, good for just a quick overnight stay. We did book a quadruple family room with a queen and two singles and got only two doubles. No amenities in the room. Was dark and quiet, we got a good night's rest. No lift, only stairs in the main area we stayed.

The receptionist only works from 4-7 pm. Other time the door to the hotel was locked. They provided a phone number on the note in front of the hotel but the number was not be able to be reached. We waited for check in for 2 hours until somebody showed up. We almost want to give up and book another hotrl

Not a fancy place but it is clean and in a good location near the Chateau. Our room was like a college dorm room—no amenities but some toiletries provided. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money and just need a place to sleep this is a good choice.

A lovely budget hotel in a Fontainebleau. Friendly welcome, clean, quiet room. Bathroom small by North American standards but not out of the ordinary in Europe. Close to everything, Fontainebleau Chateau is close, ( to enter the grounds) and the ticket booth about 15 minutes away. Place de la Republique is perhaps a 7 minute walk away, with a lovely market three times a week. Dining options are many, varied and close by, (il Primo Biaccio a great Italian place). We did not avail ourselves of the offered breakfast so can’t comment, and arrived by train, a lovely 30 minute walk mostly through a park, so can’t comment on parking either.. highly recommended. (Though not if you are expecting modern North American chain hotel standards)

Very friendly, family run hotel. Good value for money and so convenient to the Chateau and gardens. We arrived early and they kindly let us have our room rather than wait until 4:00 pm.

The staff was friendly. The room was very clean. There was no kettle in the room and the coffee machine didn't work in the entry way. The walls were thin as we could hear the television in the room next door. The breakfast was ok, but I wouldn't suggest getting it.

Mixed Views

The rooms are very basic with cupboard style shower enclosures, but very clean and functional. The breakfast is basic, even by Continental standards. Reception is not resident after fairly early in the evening, and gaining access was easy when you read the sign posted at the door, but you will need a phone or, take with you, the entry code, which I didn’t realise I had. I thought it was concerning the WiFi. My normal Ibis accommodation was full so based on the hotel reviews and an excellent price, I thought I would give it a go. Unfortunately, with a low price, brings the hotel into the affordability range of inconsiderate imbeciles, like the ones in the next room to me. A couple singing, having noisy sex, and arguing until 03-00 when a guests from another adjacent room remonstrated. They then decided to shower until finally it went quiet around 05-00. Not good to set you up for business slightly later in the day. Not the hotel’s fault but the paper thin partition walls did nothing to dampen the sound. Not my first choice next time, but I would have rated it better had it not been for my temporary neighbours.

Great location, not too much else.

Convenient location but hotel just ok. Fire alarm during night and no one at front desk. Took 5 a10 minutes for someone to arrive and turn it off. No message that all was ok. No parking.

Convenient Hotel

We enjoyed the location of the hotel and it's proximity to restaurants and the chateau of Fontainebleau. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was great. The staff was also very friendly.
