Amazing Home, Great Host, Perfect Location
Gerard was such a gracious host - both he and his home exceeded every expectation we could have had. Our family travels often and we can honestly say that this home was one of the most beautiful we have ever stayed in.
The 3 level apartment is over 300 years old and it is beautifully and lovingly renovated and appointed with every attention to detail. It is spotlessly clean, incredibly beautiful, located right in the middle of Peratallada, has amazing architectural features, a wood burning fireplace, and every amenity you could wish for. There are two charming terraces one on the third level off of the master bedroom and another rooftop terrace that overlooks the buildings of the medieval village.
Gerard was so kind, bringing us firewood in the evenings, fresh bread from the baker in the morning, and was always available to answer questions about his home, Peratallada, and the surrounding area. He made us feel like old friends in the town his family has called home for generations.
It was honestly a fantastic travel stay in every way, and we wish we could have stayed longer.
Gerard's home gets the very highest review we could possibly dream of providing. We hope to return again some day.
