We had booked this hotel the morning before we left only staying one night before a cruise. They confirmed our reservation but sent us an email that we were confused by. We called them they told us they had no space until January. I told them we had booked their hotel that morning online and asked if they could check my name and they said no it wasn’t possible and that online was wrong. I even asked if there was a hotel that they knew that had space they said no and hung up. Based on this we (5 of us, my elderly parents, my partner, and young child) frantically started calling hotels to secure a reservation. Thankfully we were able to find other accommodations.
I was incredibly confused when I saw the charges.
We also just called to asked for a refund after Expedia reaching out numerous times as they were confused as well (buy now pay on arrival). After sitting on hold we explained only a few word of our situation and the women said “I know” and hung up again. We called back and they said they didn’t care that we were mislead by them and that they would be upholding the charge. They told us they would not resolve the situation, stating that we were no shows even though we called and were told they did not have a reservation or availability.
Not only would I suggest never staying here but avoiding contact with this scam and fraudulent people altogether.
