First, what was good: The bed was fine and the room had a full-size refrigerator and freezer which I needed.
When I arrived to check in, the door was locked and no one was there. After 10 minutes and someone else calling the motel's number, someone finally showed up but he didn't speak a word of english and I have no idea what he said to me.
The walls and window are made out of paper. I heard the adults and children in the next room playing and yelling for hours on end. Every time someone closed a door, my walls shook. The rolldown blinds did not block out the daylight or the nightlights outside.
The TV remote's battery cover was missing and the batteries were constantly falling out. The programming was provided by digital antenna, not cable.
When I walked in the room, I was hit with a horrid smell that was like a combination of Vicks Vaporub, some cleaning product, and a disinfectant. It was absolutely awful and never dissipated during my stay.
The bathroom plumbing was abysmal. It took many minutes for the sink to drain. The toilet almost overflowed twice before finally emptying.
This is supposedly a family-owned business, but each person gives you different information. The 1st time I asked for a late checkout of 3pm, I was OK'd at no extra charge. The 2nd time, I was denied, asked to pay for another night, and would have had to change rooms. The 3rd time, I could stay until 5pm but would be charged 85% of the nightly charge and didn't have to move.
