I will NEVER AGAIN stay at a Motel 6. The room I reserved was "non smoking" and it said "non smoking" on the door. I walked in an was overwhelmed by the ancient stench of cigarettes. Called the office. The guy came to the room and moved me to another "non smoking" room. He did NOT seem at all surprised... they are obviously totally lax about enforcing any non smoking policy.
The second room seemed better, but my nose was not yet neutral after the first room, and I was in a rush to get to an event. I soon discovered that the new bathroom had the cigarette stench. Decided to skip showering due to that, and kept the bathroom door closed except when briefly using the toilet. After returning from the event, with my nose neutralized, when I walked in it smelled horrible. Managed to sleep... at least the bed was comfortable. Got up early and into my car asap, again without a shower.
Also, the sink spout produced a spray like output, at high pressure, resulting in a significant amount of water spraying beyond the sink onto my waist and pants, unless I carefully turned the water down to a dribble.
