The room was clean, comfortable. There were a few areas of disrepair. One of the wall hooks had been pulled from the wall, for instance.

We enjoy staying at Tru, whem we visit the DFW area and we always have the best time! This time, however we had some neighbors that were very intoxicated and fighting and being loud at 1:00 in the morning, we called the front desk and then it got worse! Opening and closong the doors, stomping down the hallways, and to top it off, they bamged on my door #304 and flipped me off I was warching through the peep hole, as I had my sons in the room with me! This is all about 2:00 am now! I am not sire why the front desk told them I was the one who called about a noise complaint, this should have been handled differently! So, we got less sleep than we would have liked after being at the waterpark all day! Other than that situation, we do enjoy staying at TRU and we will be back!

The staff was fantastic, from the cleaning staff to the women that maintained the breakfast area. I sat in the breakfast area on a Saturday morning for about 2 hours working on my laptop. The woman was quick-and responsive! As food was running low she was quickly replacing and cleaning! Kids made a mess and she just got in and cleaned up all while reassuring what looked like overwhelmed parents that it was okay. She alone made up for my only complaint. My complaint being that we checked in to a very hot room! It was 87 degrees in the room. I called down to the lobby as the ac was not on and I couldn’t get it to turn on. They quickly came out and took care of it. As the receptionist walked in the room she stated “it’s really hot in here”. She got the air on and said give it an hour or so to cool off. Excuse me but we are in Texas in The middle of summer!!! You could have at least turned on the air an hour or so before check in! We were in a hot swamp for a little over an hour. Other than that we had a great stay!!

The room was well designed, the layout gave me the ability to have enough counter space in the bathroom, enough extra sitting areas to where I didn’t feel like I always had to sit on the bed. I liked that the TV was mounted on the wall which allowed for more space for a bench where I could store my shoes underneath and then sit on the bench while I was getting ready. The property looked brand new, it is very well taken care of not only from the common areas, but to the room I was staying in as well. There were plenty of options for quick snacks and beverages to purchase and offering breakfast was a nice touch.

Good besides the pool

The pool had very slippery tiles directly around the pool area and I slipped and fell and got a bruise on my right hip and left shin. I had to be a bridesmaid the next day and had to get make up coverage for it.
