Friedrichskoog is located in the far south of the North Sea coast of Schleswig-Holstein and is a gem for travelers seeking peace and natural beauty. It borders the Wadden Sea National Park. The new Trischendiek Park, with its play areas, exercise areas, and quiet zones, invites you to relax and explore – perfect for the whole family. A modern, newly constructed climate dike reliably protects against the coastal elements, and the new Trischendiek grassy beach is once again inviting you to sunbathe and swim in the summer.

Take hikes along the dike or cycle to Büsum, Marne, Meldorf, or Brunsbüttel, where you can visit the lock system. Brunsbüttel is also a great starting point for cycling tours along the Kiel Canal.

Activities in the area: The Friedrichskoog Seal Sanctuary is a worthwhile destination. It's only four kilometers away and easily accessible on foot or by bicycle. The sanctuary is the only authorized facility in Schleswig-Holstein for abandoned or sick seals. It sets new standards in the natural, long-term care and rearing of seals.
