Exceeded my expectations is an understatement. This place shocked and awed me. Beautiful hotel tucked in the streets but beautiful!!! I felt like i was in a hidden 5 star gem! Id love to stay here again should i return! Highly recommend !

Enjoyed our stay. Great hotel smack bang in the middle of Fussen Altstadt. Walkable from train station. Room was a delight, clean and comfortable. We had a little balcony which was a bonus! No lifts so may require some climbing for higher floors. Hotel gave us a Fussen Pass which allowed free bus travel to Hohenschwangau and concessional tickets to the castles. Thank you for great memories of Fussen and Neuschwanstein!

The mattresses were the worst I have ever tried to sleep on. The top part kept trying to slid off. The size of the room was much worst than my military quarters. I would not recommend this hotel.

Stay at Ludwig’s

My family stayed here for 2 nights during a 2 and a 1/2 week vacation. It was a highlight of our trip. The hotel buffet breakfast was amazing, probably the best we’ve ever had anywhere. The staff were amazing as well. The food at the restaurant was top notch. The only downside is that there is no elevator in the building. But don’t let that deter you, the rest of the hotel more than makes up for it. The location is also great, close to everything- food, train, bus stop, and a great view of Hohes Castle.

Hotel is in a beautiful historic building and very cute, but it doesn't have elevators or A/C. Tried keeping the windows open to cool down but it is very noisy on the main drag. Towels are thin and scratchy and the beds have a thin top that easily slid off at night. Had to readjust it several times through the night. Outside of the esthetics, I wasn't impressed with the overall quality, it was a very basic budget hotel.

This hotel was definitely dated. No elevator and weird lighting which gave the whole place a dingy vibe. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Parking was close and inexpensive. Location was great and in the middle of everything. Overall, not a bad option for just a night but I wouldn’t probably stay here again.
