Excellent smallish and stylish hotel, boutique like but not pretentious. Very Helpful, friendly staff. Quiet street but 2 min walk into tourist spots. We had an amazing stay at Castanheiro Boutique Hotel. The staff couldn’t be more accommodating and friendly. Any request was granted with a smile. Our room had long views over the sea and the surroundings. We enjoyed using the rooftop pool and spa pool with the sauna and steam room. A very varied variety of the inclusive breakfast each morning set us up for each day. The hotel is perfectly placed for walking to central Funchal, and a very short walk to the beach
