The apartment was extremely clean and well presented. Everything was in good order. Fantastic apartment. The area was really nice, a few steps to the court house square and just minutes to the sea front, the new town and the old town. Couldnt ask for more. Finally, the communication with the team all the way through; has been excellent - booking, arrival and during. First class. Recommend highly without hesitation.

Quiet area, close to lots of restaurants and shops and cultural events. The outdoor patio area was lovely. Showing some signs of wear on the curtains and carpet - probably time to upgrade/replace. It was a perfect little setup up for us.

The unit was nice overall, but there were problems. The shower did not drain so my wife was unable to shower for the 4 days we stayed there. There was also a cockroach under the bathroom sink, very large but fortunately dead. Communication was good, but ultimately our issues were not resolved.

Excellent property and owner. Communication to get in to property etc clear and in good time. Apartment super clean, modern, excellent decor and well stocked. We cooked all our one week stay and had all we needed. The dishwasher and washing machine added luxuries. Ate most days on the balcony in December. Right in centre of city but on a quiet street so extremely quiet and no sound indoors. There were other people above and below but couldnt hear them in apartment. Superstores for food 15 min walk away, seafront 20 mins away. ( Slow walk) Excellent bus services in Funchal and stops 5 min around the corner. Felt extremely safe with property behind locked gate. Felt safe as only woman walking in city at night. Highly recommended and you will leave with Good Memories!

Happily stay here again

Excellent location. Close to shops and restaurants. No steep climbs to get to property either. Taxis easily available 2 min walk. Only one downside was that check in wasn’t till 4pm. However, the management was happy for me to drop my luggage earlier so I could explore Funchal. I would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend.

The entry instructions were clear and easy to follow and appreciated the ability to stay in contact via WhatsApp. We loved apartment no 4 on the 1st floor, very clean and quiet in the evenings which was appreciated for such a central location. We received great service with booking a taxi via WhatsApp to airport and our taxi driver arrived on time, was very friendly and helped with the luggage. We also appreciated having a washing machine in the apartment which was easy to use. Overall we have stayed in more than 20 apartments all over the world and can honestly say that good memories was one of our favourites. One small area of improvement would be to stock the fridge with some water for guest arrival and offer more shampoo and body wash for guests staying more than one day. These points are small and not intended to be negative as overall we had a fabulous holiday and would love to return to Madeira staying back to good memories lodges in future.

I would recommend Good Memories Lodge to anyone who is visiting Madeira. The price and quality is unbeatable. Super clean and fantastic area. The hosts communicated so well with us via WhatsApp. They let store our luggage which was a huge convenience for us.

I usually rent a home when on Madeira because I want to be able to live like I do at home, especially when it come to cooking. I usually rent a home outside of Funchal and drive into the city as necessary, but this last visit was short and all of my business was to be conducted in Funchal so I took a room at Good Memories Lodge. The room was clean and quiet. The price was reasonable and the host, Caesar, was always helpful! Good Memories Lodge is near all services and shopping so I had no need to rent a car... yeah, I'll be staying there again!

Great property in the central of Funchal, supermarkets, bars, restaurants and public transport all nearby. In a location where tour providers can pick you up outside and the bigger group tours have pick up locations nearby. The property is secure with a coded gate entry then coded door entry into the main building before a coded door to get to your apartment. Apartment 4 on the first floor that we stayed in was clean, spacious and had everything you needed for a short or long stay. Would fully recommend an apartment in this building

Great choice for Funchal

We stayed here at the end of October/early November and had a wonderful time. Great location, very convenient for the sights of Funchal and for getting around. It offers a huge space (we were a couple but plenty of room for a family). The rooms are very clean, bright and stylish. Other positives were the comfortable bed (firm), the balcony and the excellent communications with the owners/management. Thank you
