We have just had a 3 night stay at the Hotel and it was lovely. When we arrived the reception staff were very friendly and gave us a brief tour, when our room was ready we were again escorted there by a member of reception. The room was a great size with a small patio area overlooking the lush gardens. We had dinner in the restauarant on our first night, which was excellent, service was impeccable. We used the bar a couple of times, loving the idea that we got to choose our "Happy Hour", we also ate in the Bar on 2 occasions and again the food was excellent. Breakfast was very good with a great slection of food.The Hotel is very traditional and has a lot of character, we will hopefully return one day and would recommend to anyone who would like to be within 15 mins of the centre of Funchal but still stay in a "little oasis".

Very good hotel with bar-restaurant, swimming pool, spa-(services). The hotel is on 20/30 min walking distance (down-hill, so walking back is uphill) from the shopping mall, harbour/boulevard. A welcoming drink, happy hour (discount on drinks). Free shuttle service to the mall @ some times a day available. The restaurant has a very good menu card and very good and friendly services. The garden-diner can be recommended. Excellent quality, price, wine, services, and mingle with people (if you are not afraid of that). AC bedroom, good, clean beds and water, coffee/tea available @ the room.

About a 10 minute walk to seafront quite steep walk the old town where it is best to eat is another 10 minutes on the flat. The hotel staff are so very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and very clean. I would recommend this hotel

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful hotel. Everything available on site, but also very easy walking distance to Funchal centre. All of the staff were extremely helpful & friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The food was wonderful & breakfast was a delicious choice of fresh & cooked food. We would highly recommend this hotel & will definitely be back. It was my partners birthday while we were in Madeira & despite us not announcing this in any way, he was presented with a birthday cake & a bottle of wine, which was a lovely surprise, thank you so much

The best hotel experience, I have ever had! From the service level to the facilities, the food, everything is amazing! The only small thing is noise from the road and upstairs “neighbors”, but it did not do anything to the overall experience.

Definitely five stars. Beautiful place with a nice bar and friendly staff. The only con I can think of is that the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room. The property is very quiet, even if it is still walking distance to the city center, and you can fell the charm of a boutique hotel. The staff is friendly and super helpful, and I really felt like I was at home. The room was very spacious, comfortable and had this lovely balcony overlooking the gardens. The breakfast had a great variety, and the lunch we had by the pool was delicious! I recommend everyone to try on of the cocktails at the bar. The Passion Fruit Mojito is unbelievable! I will definitely stay there again in my next trip to Madeira!
