For a 2 star hotel, the prices are outrageous. We stayed at a weekend when the city was full due to a rowing competition but… Don’t expect a 3 star experience here. Everything you can think of needs an update/upgrade/upkeep except the plants outside (you can’t upgrade nature haha). But one thing for sure, please let someone know that one of their staff MUST put on some deodorant. False fire alarm, toilet leaking, if the next door room guest takes a shower, expect a terrible shower experience, wake up really early if you want regular water pressure when showering. I could go on but… my flight is taking off.

The property is an older building but it was fine. I would like to see some variety in the breakfast choices. Have 2 choices of meats like bacon or sausage. Have some bagels, potatoes, yogurt, Also have sugar free syrup for the waffles.

I really liked this hotel I liked the lower floor it had great access to the pool even tho it was closed , I liked the little patio also the man who checked me in when I got there i believe his name was KK was really really nice and freindly and over all had a really good stay here. Booked it again in the next couple weeks!

You get what you pay for

The hotel is currently going through renovation. JP and KK were very courteous, helpful, and professional. When looking over the initial room I was given, I found false eyelashes on the floor and it was apparent the carpet had not been vacuumed or cleaned in a very long time. KK quickly assigned me to a new room. This one was a little better, without carpet. However, the floor was dirty. Later that first evening, I found pieces of dog food on the floor. The room attendant swept and mopped the floor the second day. Left a lot of water on the floor. Had to use a towel to dry up the excess water so we didn't slip. When I got done, the white towel was practically black. They responded quickly when the toilet stopped working all of a sudden. Got it fixed in about 20 minutes. I was not able to move to a different hotel because my girlfriend and I were in town for her medical procedure and she was not able to move around a lot. Yes you get what you pay for but going through renovations should not take away from ensuring rooms are clean even at a basic level. I am sure this hotel will, one day, return to its old glory. Right now, its a rough work in progress.

Iffy location

This property is mostly “under construction/renovation.” Therefore, most of the facilities seen on first floor are inaccessible or marginally usable, including a bank of 3 elevators. The large breakfast area had scant food available, an “out of order” sign at the juice machine, 1 barely warm urn of coffee, and 2 areas of black mold noted on the ceiling above the waffle maker. The walls were in various levels of construction and didn’t reach the ceiling along one long wall. The bar/lounge was also unavailable. This is an aging property that has been remodeled several times, as witnessed by the appearance of the room. The bed and bathroom were clean. The young man who was at the front desk in the reception area (which was nicely done, and clean) on the 3-11 shift was very polite and helpful. There was no remote in our room and when I went to the front desk to get one, the one I was given didn’t work. When the young man was notified he brought another to our room that did work with the tv. At this point I would recommend that this not be your first choice as a destination until the remodeling and construction is completed.
