Beautiful house on a private wooded lot, with jacuzzi and wood-burning fireplace

From the moment you walk in the door you will feel at home at our Haven House! There is something to enjoy every time of year. Spend cozy nights in front of the wood-burning fireplace. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening glass of wine in the screened-in 3-season room -- and don't be surprised if you see a deer or turkey walk through the yard! After a day hiking the countless trails, or skiing at nearby Chestnut Mountain, enjoy a nice soak in the Jacuzzi tub in the master bath.

Our house is located in the Galena Territory which offers owners and guests use of the wonderful amenities at the Owner's Club. There is an indoor and outdoor pool, game room, workout room, basketball court, etc. You are also welcome to explore all of the trails, the marina at Lake Galena -- you can even rent a boat or kayak during the summer months. If you'd rather stay close to home for dinner, there are two restaurants on the property as well as a general store with a gas station. If you are interested in golfing, there are four golf courses in the Galena Territory, as well at a riding stable for trail rides.

Nearby things to do include zip lining, e-bike rental, skiing, hiking. There is plenty of shopping and dining in downtown Galena which is a quick 15-minute ride by car. There is no shortage of things to do and places to see in beautiful Galena, Illinois!

Lovely place with lots of sunlight

Beautiful place - loved the fireplace and jacuzzi. Very clean and well stocked with what you need. We saw and heard lots of birds and went walking with goats at a nearby farm. Enjoyed using the owners club pool. Nice place for several couples or family reunion - next time!

Sister Weekend!

We had an amazing stay at this lovely home in the woods! It was a great place to relax after spending our days out and about in Galena. Very clean, comfy beds, and loved the 3 season porch for our morning coffee. Would definitely recommend!

Everything was good except I felt kitchen could be better equipped…a few basic spices, gladware for leftovers and probably biggest disappointment was no grille.
