If you are planning to visit Galena or anywhere in the surrounding area, I highly recommend the LeFevre Inn. The place is spotless and the rooms are very comfortable. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. Appropriate for a wedding, family reunion, a visit to Galena or a weekend getaway for two, make sure you check out this place. Grills for barbecueing and an outdoor swimming pool are provided. We loved it will be going back!

Not sure what this would be like, went at last minute so fortunate to find. Beautiful setting and view, really relaxing and separate from hubbub of downtown Galena. Great room (comfy bed and sofa), a view looking out over countryside and nice area to walk down and around pond. Staff friendly and welcoming.

Beautiful setting and views. Stayed in a standard king room. Spacious and the bathroom was well stocked with towels. Pillows were excellent but he mattress could use an upgrade. The room and building is nicely maintained but looks like it's due for a complete paint refresh inside and out. We didn't use the pool or anything on the grounds but it all looked wonderful. The location is well off the beaten path so there is absolutely no city noise at any time - very peaceful. The Chestnut Mountain Resort is only 15 minutes away. It's a great option for having a meal with an even better view.
