Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is one of the most enriching cultural experiences that Sri Lanka can offer its visitors from all over the world. Villa Aurora can rightly claim to be at its heart, offering magnificent accommodation in one of Sri Lanka’s most historic locations. It is nice to travel to Galle throughout the year. Even during the monsoon months of May to September it only rains from time to time between sunny periods.
Villa Amenities
This lovely villa offers 3 luxury double rooms. The entire ground floor comprises (with one of the three bedrooms) a spacious living and dining area open to the courtyard and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen. The first floor offers the master bedroom and another bedroom. The Master bedroom is the largest room in the house, overlooking the ramparts from which you can have beautiful walks along Galle Bay and the Indian Ocean. All the rooms are air-conditioned and en-suite. And all have fiber-optic Wi-Fi for free use.
Opposite the house, at the foot of the Fort lighthouse, is a small beach. A reef protects the beach from the ocean waves and the shallow water is very refreshing.
Services & Staff
From the minute you arrive, our personable house manager Nalin is dedicated to providing you with the best care possible, so that you instantly feel relaxed and at home. He tends to you in the traditional Sri Lankan way and will satisfy your needs and expectations. The Villa is surrounded by all different kinds of famous restaurants. A chef can be arranged on request. Please contact us directly to have this arranged. Nalin is available in the villa during the day, but after 5:00 PM he leaves the villa to the privacy of the guests. Of course, this can be fine-tuned on request. The Villa is self-catering, but Nalin provides breakfast.
A solar-powered battery system has been installed at the villa to improve power supply continuity as the batteries are charged when the sun is shining or by Government electricity and can be used to keep the house supplied during power cuts for up to 8 hours.
As payment methods, we accept cash payments, Master & Visa Card payments and bank transfers. If available, rooms can be rented individually. However, this does not apply to bookings for the period from 15th Dec to 15th Jan.
