Great location. Charging extra for people staying at the hotel seems cheap, especially with cheap towels and no breakfast offered. However, the coffee provided was excellent!

Very old place, I wouldn’t stay here again, even for an overnight stay. Hallway was dirty, everything in our room looked like a room out the 1970’s. Bathroom was big, but the vanity was the size of a postage stamp. Then comes the issue of the heater: wow, it was very irregular and very loud! Was super cold when we arrived so turned it to 70, came back after going out for dinner, was very hot. Then turned it to 67, woke up at 1:00 and hubby and I were both burning up, turned it to 62, and it still continued to run and run, with several different fans, and loud sounds. Never again here! Sorry Microtel, but this place needs to be updated! Buyer beware—-you get what you pay for here!

The young man at the front desk was friendly and very helpful, and gave suggestions as to where we we might consider going to dinner, which was beneficial.

The person that checked me in was not very bright. I asked if there was a coffee maker in the room, (The Hotels.com website shows that they have them in the rooms) and she said they were removed due to them being a fire code violation (that’s one of the dumbest statements I’ve ever heard) The room itself was rather dingy. The carpet on the landing at the top of the stairs was filthy. The breakfast was terrible very little choices, and some of it was even Walmart food. In hindsight, I wish I had not stayed here, and I definitely will not be back.

Clean room. The front desk clerk was very helpful with local restaurants so I could find dinner quickly and return to the hotel for rest. I had driven for 12 hrs and was extremely tired so he made it very easy for me to get food.

Beds were very comfortable, and many USB ports for those traveling with more than their phones. Refrigerator was small but a decent sized freezer. Not located in Central Gallup, but within 5 minutes by car to restaurants and shopping in the area. The owners were very nice and helpful in suggesting places to eat. I will stay here again when in the area.

The shower water was brown in color even I kept running for 30 mins & a male staff told me that it was the city water system supplied that kind of water & even told me that we can drink. I ask him if he can drink. The toilet flush & sink water were clear he even told me I can call the city government in the morning to verify. I ask him then to give me a bucket so that I will just take the water from the sink and gave me a bucket where they soaked stuff like towels and it looked dirty. They were out of stock for bottled water in the vendo machine. I am just tired that I can’t take problem like that. I stayed in adjacent hotel just 3 days ago and I got no problem with water supply if he’s telling it’s the city government water supply. I lose my sleep & just left early. Reception staffs were nice
