The Emerald 712 is a south facing unit with an unobstructed view of the Gulf of Mexico, guests will also see the cruise ships as they enter and exit the Port of Galveston from the eastern most points off Galveston Island.
Emerald 712-Good Day Sunshine is a large 2/2.5 bath condo that will accommodate up to 6 guests. All guests check in directly at The Emerald and check in begins at 3pm. Covered parking in the garage is available at The Emerald. This high rise condo features numerous luxury items including a 6th floor swimming pool where guests may enjoy the swim-up bar and the cabanas. The Emerald also has a movie room, fitness room and wine tasting room. Only a short walk to a locally owned grocery store, or bike to town and walk around The Strand and The Historic homes of Galveston. This property has an open concept living/dining/kitchen area. The kitchen is fully outfitted including large refrigerator, oven, microwave, keurig coffee pot and the owner provides a beginning set of k-cups for each guest. Those who are coffee fans should bring additional k-cups. All dishes and cooking implements you will need to prepare meals. The living area features floor to ceiling windows and a sliding door to the large balcony. The living area also features a 55" flat screen television and a queen sleeper sofa. The master bedroom has a queen bed, 32" TV and ceiling fan along with an en suite bath featuring a walk in shower. The second bedroom features a full size bed, 32" TV, ceiling fan. There is a 2nd bathroom which features a tub/shower combination. The half bath is easily accessible to the common area. This property also has a stackable washer/dryer. This property has been recently updated and furnished. The Emerald is walking distance to UTMB, Jennie Sealy and Shriner's Hospital.

When we first came in there was a musty smell which continued if we didn't have the ceiling fans going and use febreze. The balcony door still doesn't lock which has been true for over a year. The bottom drawer o the island was missing the face and it looked like someone had started to fix it. The hand towels were very thin but not the other towels. there was a rip in the back bedroom bed cover. There was a pounding noise which seems to be coming from the bathroom. This is not new and comes and goes. But, the view is great, the location perfect for us to visit our relatives and the decorating is very nice.We have stayed here before as you can tell, and may stay again. The smell was the worst thing for my wife. For me it is the balcony door.
