Shower door issues

Our check-in went fine. Room was clean. They cleaned our room 1 time during our 3 day stay but did not clean dishes and put them away. Could have used more toilet paper. The major problem occurred our first night when the safety buttons did not keep shower door from coming down when our 10 year old grandson was about to take a shower. He was trying to move swimming trunks that had been caught on shower door and the door came down. Safety buttons did not appear to have been adjusted properly and should not have have come down Fortunately, our grandchild was not hurt but very shook up. My husband was able to put it back up but we knew we needed to report it so that future guests would not be injured. Management seemed like it was all our fault. They moved us to another room where shower door was installed the same way and may come down at some point. At checkout 3 days later we were given a bill with $ 700 fee for damages.. Apparently ignoring any responsibility. We will see if higher management in Hilton actually read this review and check on all shower doors in this hotel to make sure door adjustments are inspected and repair if needed.

While the property is busy with people coming and going until late in the evening, everyone was friendly. The noise stayed on the lobby level. Breakfast is in two rooms in the lobby. Ride share can get in and out easily. Rooms are clean. Hallways were pretty quiet during my stay. Literally across the street from the beach. I stay here each year.

We primarily enjoyed the hotel for it's proximity to the beach. We could easily access the beach each day. The beds were comfortable and there were good breakfast options. Areas that could be improved is the friendliness of staff. We arrived about 2:15 and were told our room would be ready by 2:30 or 3:00, so we decided to wait before venturing out. At 3:00 I went back to the desk to ask again and was told no it was not ready, but they would call housekeeping to find out when. I was not told an answer. Again at 4:00, I went to ask again and a different person was there. When I told her I had already asked twice, she just said, "check-in is at 4:00" She didn't apologize for the miscommunication or even smile. I just wondered why the first person didn't say this? The other issue was that on 2 nights the people in the room upstairs banged around until 1:00am, so sleeping was difficult. Finally, I did hear that people staying at the connected hotel (TRU) were only charged $10/night for parking while Home2Suites charged $20/night. Both hotels used the same lot, so that seemed unfair and excessive to me. Other than these issues the hotel was good and we enjoyed our stay.

Amazing stat every time

We first visited this Hotel 2 years ago and had such a nice time we have chosen to come back two other times! All three times the staff was amazing very helpful the rooms are always clean comfortable and accommodating!! I’ve had issues with other hotels in the past were we would reserve a room with an ocean view to only get there and the room wasn’t available! Not one time has that happened at this hotel! Our ocean view is always available for us to enjoy! There’s a wonderful Breakfast each morning and an area to relax in charge your devices watch some tv & play some foosbal!!!
