'Cottage by the Bay' is a place where families can enjoy their time on the canal with Kayaks, and Stand-Up Paddle Board. We have included boogie-boards and Beach Chairs for your use as well! Both young and old alike will enjoy fishing from the backyard, with lights provided for night fishing. Take a kayak on a kayak trail through nearby "Galveston Island State Park" (We provide life vests at no cost). Swim in the canal (we recommend wearing water shoes), or have a day of boating right from our boat slip or simply spend the afternoon grilling by the water or relaxing on the deck. The City of Jamaica Beach pool is typically open 6 days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and charges $5/person for a day pass.) We are happy to offer a 10% discount for extended stays of 5 days or more!

Our private dock is equipped with a fish cleaning table with water to clean fish and/or rinse off after the beach or a dip in the canal. Trout, red fish, drum, and several other varieties are frequently caught from our deck!

Above all else, 'Cottage by the Bay' is a place to get away for a while, relax, and enjoy life with each other!

IMPORTANT HOUSE RULES! We want you to have a great stay but the following rules must be followed. Please review BEFORE reserving the home...

- This is not a party house. Prom groups and parties are not allowed at any time.

- Reservations require a Rental Agreement and the agreement holder must be at least 25 years of age to reserve the home and provide a photo ID. Adult guests may not rent the home on behalf of underage guests.

-Check-in time is 4 PM and check-out time is at 10 AM.

- No underage drinking

-No Pets of any kind

- No loud music or other disturbances to the neighboring residents

- No trespassing on neighboring properties

-Please place all beach toys, water toys, and furniture back to its original location

Amenities include: ROKU Smart TV (living room), complimentary high-speed WiFi, washer/dryer, queen mattress (in master bedroom), 2 twin bunk-beds, boat slip use (additional fee), deck ladder for swimming in the canal, two fishing kayaks, youth kayak, stand-up paddle board, life vests (various sizes), 'Lilly Pad', neighborhood pool (additional fee) 2 beach chairs, boogie-boards, deck umbrellas, fish cleaning station with water, charcoal grill, coffee station, all linens, towels, blankets, dishes, pots, and pans.

This vacation home should accommodate up to 4 vehicles to be parked at the property. Vehicles should be parked in the driveway. At no time should any vehicle be parked on lawns or yards.

Jamaica Beach is a residential neighborhood, and quiet hours are enforced between 10 pm and 7 am.

Jamaica Beach, Texas is one of the most popular beaches and sought-after neighborhoods when it comes to vacation rentals – what it lacks in size, it makes up for action during the summer months, holidays and event weekends! Jamaica Beach is far enough out to be away from the hustle and bustle of Seawall (8 miles), and but not too far away from most of the island attractions (10 miles from 61st Street). Jamaica Beach also has it's own community pool and private marina and boat ramp, Regatta Basin, a community pavilion and playground. Boat launch has a fee of $10 for each day the ramp is used - please let us know as early as possible if you will be purchasing a permit as it takes 3-4 days to process via the city.

Internet Access/Cable service can be unreliable on West Galveston Island. We apologize, but we cannot guarantee that these amenities will be working during your stay and are unable to offer refunds for disruption of these services.
