I love The Snug! Right in the middle of Galway City; shops, restaurants, and the Craic at your doorstep. Walk to the Cathedral, UCG, and along the water to Salthill. Perfect Spot.

Great location, unusual room layouts

This location is amazing - walking distance to all the action! Very comfortable beds! Really nice shampoo and conditioner provided in the shower. That said, travelers should read the descriptions carefully. The rooms are not traditional hotel rooms. Our room, which we were advised was one of the larger ones, was very efficient, but very tiny! Wall mounted knobs take the space of a closet. Don't expect a desk or chairs - there was one small folding stool. I would stay there again for one night; not sure about a longer stay

Good stay.

The hotel is in the heart of action on Quay street. It could get a little loud since there are pubs right next to it. The property did provide ear plugs and we drowned out noise with white noise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no parking on site but they do have an arrangement with a garage a very short walk from the property. The room was very cozy, the shower had great water pressure.

Very convenient hotel. Right next to all the pubs and bars. We were placed on the front of the hotel and so could hear noise until early hours. If this is something that bothers you I would ask for a room that is at the back of the hotel. The Rooms are small but have most things you would need. They didn’t however have a mini fridge which I think is needed if you there for a few days. I would say this hotel is suited for younger people. No issues during stay and hotel is reasonably priced for centre of Galway

Everything about this property was absolutely perfect apart from the disturbance when the cleaners are cleaning, it sounds like the building was about to come down. If you’re wanting a sleep in, in the morning or an afternoon nap, forget it!

Great place to stay!

The Snug Townhouse is a fantastic place to stay. The location is perfect! The bed was very comfortable and the room was clean and well appointed. Check in was very easy and the receptionist was helpful and offered local knowledge. The was easy and reasonably priced parking near by which we were recommended by the team at The Snug.

spacious and comfortable. Unfortunately right across the street from 2 popular bars. Once the partying stopped the bottle recycling started and then taking the empty kegs out and new ones in. Not a restful sleep. I guess that’s why there were earplugs in the room

Parking is not so bad. We paid to park at a nearby parking lot, I think for each night it was like 12 dollars. The Snug Townhouse is right in the middle of action. You're in a nice part of Galway, and everything is right there for you to access. The staff was great, check in was very fast and easy. The rooms were delightful and the water pressure first class. So, yeah, if you're okay parking a few minutes away, I say the benefits of the property's location is worth it.

Hello unfortunately we couldn’t go on our trip to Galway as we had the biggest storm ever in Ireland/Galway and the rail service to Galway was Cancelled. I did contact the hotel to advise and they understood it wasn’t possible for us to travel by train I also advised that I had no other way to travel I’m would if I could have a refund. As this was the biggest storm ever in Ireland. Thankyou Gary

The Snug House is a great jumping off point for exploring Galway as its very conveniently located. The staff was exceptionally friendly and kind and made all the difference at the end of a long travel day when my room was ready early! The rooms are not large, really just a place to sleep at night, but have thoughtful design choices to accommodate luggage storage. The bathroom was great and the rain shower head was a welcome addition on a chilly day. Only downside is that sound carries quite well, you can hear/feel when doors close on your floor and others. Noisy neighbors made for an unpleasant second night. Overall would recommend!
