L'Oliveta is a welcoming rural house in stone, set in an charming, secluded hilly position not far from the renowned spa town of Gambassi and from Certaldo, birthplace of Boccaccio, two characteristic medieval borghi located in the area of the Florentine Valdelsa. Inside this welcoming, completely air-condtioned home, originally an authentic hay-loft of the last century, is a large open-plan area with living room and a spacious modern kitchen that opens out onto a large portico set up for relaxing in the shade of the garden that surrounds the structure. The silence of the park, full of olive trees and Mediterranean vegetation, is completed by the delightful panoramic swimming pool that looks out over rural landscapes that stretch as far as the eye can see, guaranteeing maximum relaxation immersed in the Tuscan countryside. The house is located in a territory famous for its culinary excellences, not far from San Gimignano (16 km), Florence, Siena, Lucca, Pisa and the Chianti region which, with its castles and villages, acts as a bridge between Siena and Florence. Shops, restaurants and services can be found in Gambassi Terme and Certaldo (on the Siena-Florence railway line), about 6 km from the house.

Interior:
The house has a single floor. The main entrance leads from the portico into the spacious living room with seating area, dining table and modern kitchen. Three steps lead to the sleeping area, consisting of two double bedrooms sharing a bathroom with shower and a double bedroom (with divisible bed) with ensuite bathroom with shower and direct access to the garden.

Park:
The park and garden for the exclusive use of the guests, completely enclosed by a fence and hedges guaranteeing privacy, extend for about 2500 sq m and include the 2-car parking area just past the entrance gate. The garden surrounding the house consists for the most part of large areas of lawn, suitable for children's play, and brightly-coloured flowering bushes, lots of olive trees and tall shady trees. The large stone portico at the entrance to the house is equipped with a table, chairs and barbecue for outdoor dining while on one side is a large terraced panoramic area suitable for relaxing.
Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.

Swimming Pool:
In the most secluded area of the property, set on a lower terrace about 15 m from the house and reached across the garden and then down a short flight of steps, is the swimming pool, completely enclosed by a fence and hedges that do not impede the panoramic view. The rectangular pool measures 4 x 8 m with a constant depth of 1.50 m. Lined in PVC with a stone edge, it has submerged steps for access to the water, chlorine purification and internal lights, also present throughout the surrounding area. An umbrella, small tables, comfortable sunbeds and a cold-water shower are the perfect complement to the lawn area. The pool is open from the last Saturday of April until the first Saturday of October.
