This is a mixed review! Good - the place is darling, awesome view of the Lake, and spacious with room to sleep people, and the shared bathroom has two toilets! The next part is meant to reflect that these circumstances were hard not to focus on, so although it was a cute place, it felt more like work for us to stay there vs. a vacation. Not so good- Communication wasn’t great. Rarely did I get a response to my questions without continuing to bug them. They advertise air conditioning, but it’s actually a swamp cooler in the main room which doesn’t get into all spaces well, including the bedrooms. There were record temps at Bear Lake this summer and it never really cooled down. This was frustrating that we paid what we did, but didn’t feel temperature comfortable for our stay. We asked if they would give us a discount for the ad communicating air conditioned, but not being more specific, and they said no.We did run into town to buy a fan that cost us 50 and they did reimburse us for that, but not without me having to text them several times before they took care of it after they offered to do the refund.I have had such positive communication experiences with other VRBO owners, that this felt like more work than it should have been. The majority of my group says they wouldn’t stay again.
